CULTURAL JOURNEY TO THE SOUTH OF BRAZIL
O período de 17 a 26 de fevereiro de 2012 foi muito especial para o Comendador Pedro Octavio Caldararo Quintella e sua esposa a Comendadora Rejane, pois o casal decidiu tirar alguns dias de férias e, integrando um grupo de amigos, foi para o sul do Brasil fazendo um roteiro educativo-cultural.
The period of 17 to 26 February 2012 was very special for the Commander Pedro Octavio Caldararo Quintella and his wife Commander Rejane, as the couple decided to take some vacation days and including a group of friends, went to southern Brazil making a script-cultural education.
Pedro Octavio, conceituado colunista social com mais de 30 anos de atividades, é o Jornalista Internacional do Ministério Evangélico “Valorizando a Vida!”, e trouxe na bagagem mais de cem fotografias, retratando toda a beleza dos municípios que integram os Estados da Região Sul.
Pedro Octavio, renowned gossip columnist with over 30 years of activities, is the International Journalist of the Evangelical Ministry "Valuing the Life!”, and brought with him more than one hundred photographs, depicting the beauty of the municipalities of the states in the South Region.

A Região Sul é uma das cinco grandes regiões em que é dividido o Brasil, compreendendo os estados do Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul e Santa Catarina,que juntos totalizam uma superfície de 576.409,6 km².

Trata-se da menor das regiões brasileiras e faz parte da região geoeconômica Centro-Sul, sendo um grande polo turístico, econômico e cultural, abrangendo grande influência europeia, principalmente de origem italiana e germânica.
This is the smallest of the regions of Brazil and is part of the Mid-South geo-economic region, being a major hub for tourism, economic and cultural, including major European influence, particularly from Italian and German.
A Região Sul apresenta bons índices sociais em vários aspectos: possui o maior IDH do Brasil, 0,831, e o terceiro maior PIB per capita do país, 18.257,79 reais, atrás apenas da Região Sudeste e da Região Centro-Oeste, valendo notar que a região é também a mais alfabetizada, 94,8% da população.

Faz fronteiras com o Uruguai ao sul, com a Argentina e com o Paraguai ao oeste, com a região Centro-Oeste e com a região Sudeste do Brasil ao norte e com o oceano Atlântico ao leste.
