Sem dúvida alguma um fato raro: o Pastor Celso Martinez foi consagrado ao Ministério Pastoral no dia 17 de março de 1979 e no dia 24 do mesmo mês e ano tomou posse na Segunda Igreja Batista na cidade de Barra do Pirai (RJ), e nela permanece até hoje. Completou, portanto, neste ano de 2009, trinta anos de pastorado, todo exercido na liderança de uma só igreja. O Pastor Celso Martinez já esteve em vários países, como Itália, Cuba, Coréia do Sul e Estados Unidos, participando de seminários e outras atividades ministeriais, com destaque para a proclamação dos Santos Evangelhos. Em Barra do Piraí já recebeu da Câmara Municipal o honroso titulo de Cidadão Barrense, já que promove trabalhos de elevado cunho social reconhecidos pela comunidade.
