Convidado a falar sobre o simblismo da mitra, usada por algumas classes de religiosos, +Dom Moysés disse que “na definição do dicionário, mitra é insígnia eclesiástica com que os bispos e outros prelados cobrem a cabeça em certas cerimônias”.
Invited to talk about simblismo the miter worn by some religious classes, +Don Moyses said that “in the dictionary definition miter is ecclesiastical insignia with the bishops and other prelates cover their heads in certain ceremonies”.
Talvez seja insígnia com o sentido de sinal, marca, entretanto a mitra é uma peça do vestuário eclesiástico-religioso; mitra é a cobertura de cabeça usada por clérigos em cerimônias, eclesiásticas ou não, onde se façam presentes: as mitras podem ser simples ou ornadas, e não têm um formato padronizado, rígido, dependendo da criatividade do estilista que a projeta, conforme o desejo de quem vai usá-la, ressalvada a padronização adotada por algumas religiões.
Maybe insignia with the sense of sign, mark, though the miter is an ecclesiastical-religious garment; miter is the head covering worn by priests in ceremonies, church or not, where to be present: the miters can be simple or ornate, and do not have a standardized format, rigid, depending on the creativity of the designer who design it, according to the wishes of those who will use it, except for the standardization adopted by some religions.

Em outras palavras, sinaliza, especialmente para o inimigo de nossas almas que, inevitavelmente, o clérigo está orando e, por conseguinte, rechaçando-o (e a Palavra de Deus nos assegura que assim ele foge de nós, e com certeza fica sem ação).
In other words, signals, especially for the enemy of our souls who, inevitably, the cleric is praying and therefore rejecting it (and God's Word assures us that so he runs away from us, and certainly is without action).
