A 7ª Igreja Batista de Três Rios (RJ) foi organizada em 15 de maio de 2006, pela Segunda Igreja Batista de Petrópolis, na época liderada pelo Pastor Dr. Edelto Barreto Antunes (de saudosa memória), sendo desde o início presidida pelo Pastor David Cândido Mesquita.
The 7th Baptist Church of Three Rivers (RJ) was organized on May 15, 2006, the Second Baptist Church of Petropolis, then led by Pastor Dr. Edelso Barreto Antunes (of blessed memory), and from the beginning led by Pastor David Candido Mesquita.
Apesar de ter reduzido suas atividades, inclusive as ministeriais (especialmente à noite), por alguns problemas de saúde, +Dom Moysés - que é o Vice-Presidente da Igreja - esteve visitando, no dia 21 de agosto de 2011, as obras do templo próprio, na Av. Prefeito Samir Nasser, no bairro de Vila Isabel.
Despite having reduced its activities, including ministerial (especially at night) for some health problems, +Don Moyses - which is the Vice-President of the Church - was visiting, on August 21, 2011, the works of the temple own, at Av. Mayor Samir Nasser, in the district of Vila Isabel.
Foi escolhida esta data porque 21 de agosto é o DIA DA HABITAÇÃO, e a Igreja é a casa e a família de Deus e Cristo habita dentro de nós e, assim, conforme a simbologia eclesiástica com base no conteúdo sacro, Deus não tem moradia física, sendo a Igreja a habitação de Deus no espírito (Efésios 2:22).
This date was chosen because August, 21 it is the DAY OF HOUSING, and the church is the house and family of God and Christ dwells within us and thus, according to the ecclesiastical symbolism based on the content sacred, God has no physical, is the Church housing of God in the spirit (Ephesians 2:22).
Tudo está muito adiantado, tendo como administrador da construção o Pastor David, e espera-se que até o final do abo de 2011 os trabalhos passem a ser realizados no novo prédio.

LITTLE HISTORY OF THE CHURCH
No mês de janeiro de 2006, 19 valorosos irmãos provenientes de Igrejas Batistas da Convenção Batista Brasileira-CBB, a maioria ovelhas do Pastor David, e alguns irmãos de outras cidades, como Paraíba do Sul, Carmo e Petrópolis, sensíveis à voz do Espírito Santo e sob a liderança do Pastor David Cândido Mesquita, obreiro dos mais conceituados no campo fluminense, decidiram constituir outra Igreja Batista em Três Rios - RJ, mais exatamente no Bairro de Vila Isabel.
In January 2006, 19 brave brothers from the Baptist Churches of the Brazilian Baptist Convention-CBB, most sheep of the shepherd David, brothers and some other cities, like Paraiba do Sul, Carmo and Petropolis, sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit and under the leadership of Pastor David Candido Mesquita, staff member of the most respected in the field of the state, decided to form another Baptist Church in Three Rivers - RJ, more exactly in the district of Vila Isabel.

A iniciativa, face à sua importância, foi de imediato apoiada pela Segunda Igreja Batista de Petrópolis, presidida por um grande Homem de Deus, Pastor Dr. Edelto Barreto Antunes (de saudosa memória), que se alegrou em criar uma congregação em Três Rios com estes irmãos, que mostraram de forma incontestável sua firme disposição de bem servir ao Senhor e à comunidade.
The initiative, given its importance was immediately supported by the Second Baptist Church of Petropolis, chaired by a great man of God, Pastor Dr. Edelto Barreto Antunes (of blessed memory), which was glad to create a congregation in Three Rivers with these brothers, who showed unequivocally and their determination to serve the Lord and the community.
No começo de maio de 2006, ao constatar que o grupo reunia todas as condições para se constituir em Igreja, a Segunda Igreja Batista de Petrópolis convocou o Concílio de Exame e Organização, composto por dezenas de Pastores filiados à Associação Batista Paraibana (que congrega as Igrejas Batistas - CBB, de nossa região), e no dia 15 de maio do mesmo ano (2006) foi realizada a assembleia solene, com Culto de Ação de Graças, e após o parecer favorável do Concilio que teve como examinador o Pastor Edmar Pereira da Silva, da Primeira Igreja Batista de Paraíba do Sul, a assembleia declarou oficialmente organizada a 7ª Igreja Batista de Três Rios, eis que o exame dos irmãos resultou em aprovação por unanimidade dos conciliares e de todos os participantes daquela assembleia geral convocada e presidida pela Igreja-Mãe e com o aval da Associação Batista Paraibana.

Observe-se que por decisão posterior da Igreja (04 de junho de 2006), todos os irmãos que se fizerem membros até a primeira reunião na sede própria são considerados fundadores e desta forma outros irmãos, também fundadores já se uniram a nós, e foram recebidos com muita alegria.
