A Igreja de Nova Vida em Brasilia teves seu início ano mês de julho de 1971, quando o Bispo Walter Robert McAlister, sabedor de haver algumas famílias que já pertenciam à Igreja de Nova Vida e estavam residindo em Brasília, realizou durante quatro semanas uma campanha evangelística pela televisão.

Os programas, de cinco minutos, eram transmitidos de segunda à sexta-feira, às 11:55 horas pela antiga TV Tupi (atual TV Brasília): o Bispo atendia ao público em gabinete pastoral, aos sábados, aos domingos, na parte da tarde era realizado um culto no auditório da Escola Normal de Brasília.

Em julho de 2011, portanto, a Igreja de Nova Vida no Distrito Federal completa quarenta anos e na atualidade o Bispo Regional é o Rev. Antonio J. Costa e o pastor titular é o Rev. Nilson Luiz dos Santos: mais três pastores fazem parte do colégio ministerial.
