No dia 01 de agosto de 2011, a comunidade evangélica brasileira enlutou-se com o falecimento aos 81 anos de idade, da irmã Neyde Thomas (foto), que por algum tempo enfrentava um câncer: era membro da Igreja Batista do Bacacheri, em Curitiba.
On August 1, 2011, the Brazilian evangelical community mourned the death with the 81 year old sister Neyde Thomas (pictured), which for a time was facing a cancer: a member of the Baptist Church Bacacheri, in Curitiba.
Era muito estimada, não apenas entre os batistas e evangélicos do Brasil, mas também no exterior: O Jornal Batista , em sua edição de 28 de agosto de 2011, traz ampla matéria sobre o fato, inclusive divulgando um resumo biográfico, juntamente com toda a sua vida eclesiástica, no país e fora dele.
He was highly respected not only among Baptists and evangelicals in Brazil but also abroad: The Journal Batista, in its issue of August 28, 2011, brings extensive article about the fact, even releasing a biographical sketch, along with all their church life at home and abroad.
