No dia 25 de agosto de 2011, em solenidade especial seguida de almoço, no Rancho Brasil, em Três Rios, o Dr. Antonio Maximiniano de Oliveira (foto acima), antigo advogado na cidade e atuante também em todo o Estado do Rio, foi homenageado pela Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil, pelo seu Jubileu de Ouro de colação de grau em Direito, transcorrido em 2009: ele formou-se em 1959 pela Faculdade Nacional de Direito.

On August 25, 2011, at a special ceremony followed by lunch at the Brazil Ranch in Three Rivers, Dr. Antonio Maximiniano de Oliveira (photo above), a former lawyer in the city and active also in the entire state of Rio, was honored by the Association of the Lawyer of Brazil, the Golden Jubilee of his graduation in law, passed in 2009: it was formed in 1959 by the National Law School.

Dr. Maximiniano recebeu uma elevada condecoração, qual seja, a MEDALHA SOBRAL PINTO, que lhe foi entregue pelos Drs. Felipe Santa Cruz, representante da OAB-RJ e Sergio de Souza, Presidente da OAB-Três Rios.

We are glad that this tribute is now paid by the Bar Association of Brazil Maximiniano Dr. Antonio Maximiniano de Oliveira, brilliant lawyer, barrister of the dean of Three Rivers and possibly the wider region in South-Central Fluminense.

It was a divine gift, a great honor to welcome you in our community, many years ago, because we come to enjoy his wisdom and his obsession for the defense of human rights, not to mention its high ideals for culture and education: born Antonio Carlos, who belonged to village Barbacena (MG) and freed on December 27, 1948, and this 200 km from Belo Horizonte, 190 km from Rio de Janeiro, Dr. Antonio Maximiniano, not left for the capital mining, which would be natural, but Three Rivers chose to settle down permanently and advocacy activities to make a genuine priesthood. The city of Three Rivers felt and still feel very honored to have their valuable presence and participation in community life.

And his passion for the preservation of Human Rights was finally consolidated in the period of authoritarian regime that Brazil went through - a situation that followed because I was personally active in the Army - while risking their own lives, made the defense of all who have had their freedoms and right to dignity, to the appearance, physical integrity, dignity and moral and spiritual, or other prerogatives inherent to the democratic rule of law seriously compromised.

Respecting those who say there are exceptional circumstances justifying the government, Dr. Antonio Maximiniano showed in his performance, that nothing can justify any kind of violence, and more than that, be shown (as is) one of the highest wisdom, instead of striving against the ruling regime, was concerned with people, the good of greater value, was concerned to enforce at any price the rights of those who were for it (the regime) affected in some way.

We witnessed many performances of Dr. Maximiniano, in which he was suffering more than some of the persecuted, to take their suffering in which they lived.

This honor - GOLDEN JUBILEE IN ADVOCACY - is nothing more than the embodiment of justice, stemming from the OAB and also that the flag has been Dr. Antonio Maximiniano these five decades of activity.

We congratulate the OAB and this great co-odd virtues: he is receiving a reward for their work, but there is another saved, that God will grant, for the Bible tells us in Proverbs, Chapter 11 verse 18 that “... he who sows righteousness gets a true reward”.
