BRASIL: ESTUDO MOSTRA OS ESTADOS COM MAIOR NÚMERO DE EVANGÉLICOS PENTECOSTAIS
BRAZIL: STUDY SHOWS THE NUMBER OF STATES WITH LARGEST PENTECOSTAL

De acordo com o Novo Mapa das Religiões elaborado pela Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) o estado brasileiro com o maior número de evangélicos pentecostais é o Acre, com 24,18% do total. Sendo que em Rio Branco, a capital, a proporção é de 28,43%.

Esses resultados foram formados com base em dados de 2009 da POF (Pesquisa de Orçamento Familiar), do IBGE e mostram que em segundo lugar está o estado de Rondônia com 19,95%, seguido por Pará (19,41%) e Amapá (19,01%). São Paulo ficou em 13º lugar, com 14,62%, e o Rio de Janeiro em 15º, com 14,18%.

No ano da pesquisa, os fiéis das pentecostais representaram 12,76% da população. Segundo o pesquisador Marcelo Néri, o responsável pelo mapa, a Assembleia de Deus já é a segunda maior igreja do Brasil, abaixo da Católica. A pesquisa também revelou que as s igrejas pentecostais são as que mais têm se expandido no território brasileiro.

Os evangélicos — pentecostais e de outras denominações — subiram de 17,9% em 2003 para 20,2% em 2009. Eles são representativos principalmente nas classes D e E, afirmou Néri.

These results were formed based on 2009 data from HBS (Household Budget Survey) and the IBGE show that in second place is the state of Rondonia, with19.95%, followed by Para (19.41%) and Amapa (19.01%). St. Paul was in 13thplace with 14.62%, and Rio de Janeiro in 15th with 14.18%.
