ASSEMBLEIA DE DEUS HOMENAGEADA NA CÂMARA FEDERAL: CENTENÁRIO
ASSEMBLY OF GOD HONORED IN CONGRESS: CENTENARY
Com o plenário lotado, a Câmara dos Deputados, em Brasília, realizou em junho de 2011 uma sessão especial em homenagem ao Centenário das Assembleias de Deus no Brasil, celebrado dia 18 do mês.
With the crowded floor, the Chamber of Deputies in Brasilia in June 2011 held special session in honor of the centenary of the Assemblies of God in Brazil, celebrated the 18th day of the month.
Parlamentares e pastores de todo o Brasil participaram da cerimônia: na solenidade, foi apresentado o vídeo em comemoração aos 100 anos, contando a chegada dos missionários suecos, Daniel Berg e Gunnar Vingren, e a trajetória da maior denominação evangélica do Brasil.
Parliamentarians and ministers from all over Brazil participated in the ceremony: the ceremony, the video was presented in celebration of 100 years, counting the arrival of the Swedish missionaries, Daniel Berg and Gunnar Vingren, and the trajectory of the largest Protestant denomination in Brazil.
O evento foi proposto pelo pastor Paulo Freire – que é deputado – dirigente da sessão e no decorrer da solenidade, vários deputados evangélicos falaram da emoção e da importância da comemoração, entre eles, o deputado João Campos, que lidera a Frente Parlamentar Evangélica: ele destacou a importância do segmento evangélico para a construção do país e relembrou os nomes de diversos líderes que fizeram parte da história da AD, afirmando que “Essa sessão é para a glória de Deus, mas é justo que também se faça uma homenagem aos homens de Deus que fizeram parte dessa história”, citando nomes como os de Cícero Canuto de Lima, Alcebíades Pereira de Vasconcelos e Paulo Leivas Macalão.
The event was proposed by Pastor Paulo Freire - who is a Member - leader of the session and during the ceremony, several Members of evangelical spoke of the importance of emotion and celebration, among them Representative John Fields, who leads the Evangelical Parliamentary Front: he highlighted the importance of the evangelical segment to build the country and recalled the names of several leaders who were part of the history of AD, stating that "This session is for the glory of God, but it is also fair to make a tribute to the men of God that were part of history ", citing names such as Cicero Canuto de Lima, Alcibiades Pereira de Vasconcelos and Paulo Leivas Macalão.
Para o pastor José Wellington Bezerra da Costa, Presidente da Convenção Geral das Assembleias de Deus no Brasil (CGADB), foi mais uma oportunidade de enaltecer e glorificar ao Senhor pela comemoração; “O ambiente está muito bonito; estamos aqui com a presença de quase todos os nossos deputados federais e da liderança evangélica da Assembleia de Deus, e nessa solenidade podemos, mais uma vez, enaltecer, glorificar e adorar Àquele que tem abençoado o Brasil e a AD, nos fazendo celebrar o Centenário de nossa igreja com muito júbilo”, comemorou.
To Pastor Jose Wellington Bezerra da Costa, President of the General Convention of the Assemblies of God in Brazil (CGADB), was another opportunity to praise and glorify the Lord for the celebration, "The environment is very beautiful, we are here with the presence of almost all our deputies and the leadership of the evangelical Assemblies of God, and this ceremony can, once again, praise, glorify and worship Him who has blessed Brazil and AD, making us celebrate the centenary of our church with great joy”, celebrated.
