No dia 20 de março de 2010 Dom Nicolas, Metropolitano Primaz da Eglise Orthodoxe Autonome d' Europe Metropole de France recebeu, juntamente com outras personalidades, a Medalha de Vermeil Estímulo Público, condecoração que é concedida na França como incentivo, para aqueles que desenvolvem ações públicas/comunitárias. Foi um ato de justiça, eis que este clérigo vem se destacando, não apenas na proclamação dos Santos Evangelhos, mas também na assistência social em suas múltiplas feições.
