O anúncio acima, publicado em O Jornal Batista de 16/01/2011 demonstra a excelência dos trabalhos da comissão Organizadora da 91ª Assembléia da Convenção Batista Brasileira: o Conclave de âmbito nacional será realizado no período de 21 a 25 de janeiro de 2011, no Ginásio Caio Martins, em Niterói, e faltando ainda cerca de uma semana para o início, estava TUDO PRONTO em Niterói.

The ad above, published in The Journal Batista de16/01/2011 demonstrates the excellence of the work of the committee organizing the 91 th Assembly of the Brazilian Baptist Convention: The Conclave will be held nationwide from 21 to 25 January 2011 in the Gym Caio Martins, in Niterói, and still missing about a week to the top, was all ALL READY in Niteroi.

Durante esta Assembléia será eleita a nova diretoria da Convenção Batista Brasileira para um período de dois anos, valendo notar que este  evento tem sua importância multiplicada face a temática ineditamente adotada que é a preservação do meio ambiente: VIDA PLENA E MEIO AMBIENTE é o tema em torno do qual vão girar todos os debates, dos quais participarão irmãos e irmãs de todo o Brasil.

Na abertura da Convenção Batista Brasileira - CBB, no Ginásio Caio Martins, em Niterói (RJ), vários cantores evangélicos que têm audiência garantida estiveram presentes: Marina de Oliveira, Pamela, Wiliam Nascimento, Fernanda Brum, Emerson Pinheiro e Cristina Mel louvaram a Deus na instalação do importante conclave nacional, um encontro de assembleia geral, com participantes de todos os estados.

At the opening of the Brazilian Baptist Convention - CBB, the Gymnasium Caio Martins, in Niterói (RJ), several gospel singers who have guaranteed audience were present: Marina de Oliveira, Pamela, William Nascimento, Fernanda Brum, Emerson Pinheiro and Cristina Mel praised God the installation of important national conclave, a general assembly meeting, with participants from all states.

O Pastor Paschoal Piragine Júnior (esquerda) foi eleito no dia 24 de 2011 como novo Presidente da Convenção Batista Brasileira (CBB) para os próximos dois anos, sucedendo no cargo o Pastor Josué Mello Salgado (foto menor).

Pastor Paschoal Piragine Junior (left) was elected on January 24, 2011 as new President of the Brazilian Baptist Convention (CBB) for the next two years, succeeding in the job Pastor Josue Mello Salgado (smaller photo).

Atualmente o Pastor Paschoal Piragine Júnior atua como Pastor titular da Primeira Igreja Batista de Curitiba, onde está desde o dia 20 de agosto de 1988, é Doutor em Ministérios pela Faculdade Teológica Sul Americana, de Londrina (PR), casado com a irmã Cleusa Piragine e pai do Pastor Michel Ferreira Piragine.

Currently Pastor Paschoal Piragine Junior serves as senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Curitiba, where since the 20th of August 1988, is a Doctor of Ministries for the South American Theological Faculty, Londrina (PR), married to the sister Cleusa Piragine and father of Pastor Michel Ferreira Piragine.

Os batistas brasileiros assumiram uma posição clara com relação ao meio ambiente e expediram nesta assembleia a CARTA DE NITERÓI, cuja íntegra foi publicada em O Jornal Batista de 06 de fevereiro de 2011 e reproduzimos abaixo:

The Brazilian Baptists have taken a clear position with regard to the environment in the assembly  and issued a LETTER OF NITERÓI whose entirety was published in The Baptist Journal of February 6, 2011 and reproduced below:

POSTHUMOUS HOMAGE

Durante esta 91ª Assembléia Geral, os batistas brasileiros concederam ao Pastor Dr. Nilson do Amaral Fanini (foto), falecido em 19 de setembro de 2009, o título de Presidente Emérito, eis que ele foi Presidente da Convenção Batista Brasileira doze vezes, sendo a primeira em 1972 e a última em 2004.

During the 91st General Assembly, the Brazilian Baptists have given to Pastor Dr. Nilson do Amaral Fanini (photo), who died on September 19, 2009, the title of President Emeritus, behold, he was President of the Brazilian Baptist Convention twelve times, the first in 1972 and the last in 2004.

Pelas mãos do Diretor Executivo da CBB, Pastor Sócrates Oliveira de Souza, foi entregue à viúva, irmã Helga Kleper Fanini, uma placa alusiva, em momento de profunda emoção.

The hands of the Executive Director of the CBB, Pastor Socrates Oliveira de Souza, was handed to the widow, sister Helga Kleper Fanini, a sign alluding, in a moment of deep emotion.

Imediatamente após o falecimento do Pastor Dr. Nilson Fanini, este Ministério decretou luto oficial por três dias e fez chegar à irmã Helga, uma homenagem “post mortem” ao saudoso obreiro, qual seja, o Diploma de Grande Honra Apóstolo Paulo do Século XX.

Immediately after the death of Pastor Dr. Nilson Fanini, the Ministry declared official mourning for three days and sent the sister Helga, a tribute post mortem to the late worker, namely, the Diploma of Honour Great Apostle Paul of the twentieth century.

+Dom Moysé Barbosa  (foto), que á antigo obreiro (pastor) da Convenção Batista Brasileira-CBB (quase meio século), não pôde comparecer à Assembléia em Niterói, por motivo de saúde, mas entende que deve fazer alguma manifestação, que considera oportuna.

+Don Moyses Barbosa (photo), who will former worker (pastor) of the Brazilian Baptist Convention-CBB (almost half a century) could not attend the Meeting in Niteroi, for health reasons, but believes they should be some manifestation, that considers timely.

E  assim concluiu suas palavras aos jornalistas: “dentre tantos aspectos da maior importância que afloraram como resultado desta 91ª Assembléia, há um que se destaca e assume feições especiais: esta reunião de âmbito nacional mostrou ao Brasil e ao mundo que os filiados à  Convenção Batista Brasileira estão unidos, mantêm a fidelidade escriturística e estão, também, com força para o cumprimento de sua nobre missão, no território nacional e no exterior”.

And so ended his word to reporters: “among many aspects of the utmost importance that arose as a result of this 91 th Assembly, one that stands out and takes features special: This meeting nationwide showed the Brazil and the world that are affiliated to the Brazilian Baptist Convention are united, kill the scriptural fidelity and are also hard to accomplish his noble mission, on national territory and in abroad".

Esta matéria da 91ª Assembléia da CBB foi redigida no dia imediato ao encerramento, e já se confirmava mais de 1.500 inscrições, entre as quais oitocentos pastores, mas sabe-se que a Convenção reuniu cerca de três mil pessoas, pois além dos inscritos foi maciça a presença de visitantes, irmãos batistas não-inscritos, irmãos de outras denominações evangélicas, autoridades e  imprensa em geral.

This matter of the 91 th Assembly of the CBB was written the day after closing, and it has been confirmed more than 1.500 entries, including eight hundred pastors, but it is known that the Convention gathered about three thousand people, because besides the subscribers was massive the presence of visitors, non-registered Baptist brethren, the brethren of other denominations, authorities and media in general.
