No dia 08 de novembro de 2010, os batistas e a comunidade evangélica do Brasil ficaram enlutados diante do falecimento do Dr. Werner Kaschel (foto), aos 89 anos de idade.

Ele além de Pastor, Professor e conceituado Teólogo, foi também tradutor da Bíblia, e um obreiro dos mais conhecidos e estimados no Brasil, e no exterior, tendo conquistado ao longo de sua vida abençoada inúmeras titulações importantes, fez especializações na área da teologia nos Estados Unidos, além de ter realizado profícuo trabalho no exercício de importantes cargos.
