CÂMARA DE TRÊS RIOS HOMENAGEIA IN MEMORIAM GENITOR DE +DOM MOYSÉS BARBOSA
CHAMBER OF TRES RIOS HONOR IN MEMORIAN
No dia 16 de setembro de 2013, a Câmara Municipal de Três Rios (RJ), decretou e o Prefeito Vinicius Farah sancionou a Lei número 3892, instituindo no Calendário Oficial do Município: Dia da Denominação Batista, do Crente Batista e da Igreja Batista, com comemoração fixada em 03 de outubro, e referindo-se aos filiados à Convenção Batista Brasileira.
On September 16, 2013, the City of Tres Rios( RJ ), decreed and Prefect Vinicius Farah signed the Law number 3892, establishing the Official Calendar of the Municipality: Day Baptist Denomination, Believer's Baptist Church and Baptist with celebration set on October 03, and referring to affiliated to the Brazilian Baptist Convention.
O autor desta Lei é o Vereador Isaías de Oliveira (foto acima), com o objetivo de prestar uma justa homenagem aos BATISTAS, que por quase um Século proclamam na cidade que só Jesus Cristo salva, isso desde 03 de outubro de 1915, data de fundação da Primeira Igreja Batista de Três Rios (daí decorre a fixação do dia 03 de outubro).
The author of this Law is Councilman Isaias de Oliveira (photo above), in order to pay homage to the BAPTISTS, which for nearly a Century in the city proclaim that only Jesus Christ saves , so since October 3, 1915, the date of the founding of the First Church Baptist of Tres Rios (hence, the fixation of 03 October) .

Na justificativa, o vereador Isaias de Oliveira faz constar que esta homenagem não é apenas para a denominação, mas também para grandes e valorosos homens de Deus, que teve o prazer de conhecer, entre os quais Pastor Itamar Francisco de Souza e os Diáconos Augusto Carlos Magalhães, Manoel Juventino Sant’Ana, Abrahão Barbosa, Fausto de Oliveira e Aristides Cassola, todos falecidos, mas que têm seu nome registrados na história dos batistas da Convenção Batista Brasileira em Três Rios.

Abrahão Barbosa (foto acima), pai de +Dom Moysés Barbosa, figura entre os homenageados “in memoriam”: ele faleceu em 29 de setembro de 2003, enquanto dormia no Hospital de Clinicas Nossa Senhora da Conceição (Três Rios), onde estava internado por problemas cardíacos.

Foi uma das colunas inabaláveis da Primeira Igreja Batista de Três Rios, juntamente com os demais lembrados e outros cujos nomes não nos ocorrem.
