PARAIBUNA ROAD MUSEUM OF FORTY YEARS MAKES
O Museu Rodoviário de Paraibuna é um museu localizado no município de Comendador Levy Gasparian (RJ). Lá está registrada toda a história dos transportes na antiga estrada União e Indústria, guardando relíquias como um veículo conhecido como "Mazeppa" (acima, ao lado do prédio), considerado um dos "carros" mais modernos e confortáveis de meados do século XIX.
O prédio que abriga o museu foi construído em 1860 pela Companhia União e Indústria para abrigar a 8ª Estação de Muda, sendo um dos doze locais de paragem na estrada União e Indústria para substituição de cavalos e carruagens e descanso de passageiros nas viagens entre Petrópolis e Juiz de Fora.
Seu estilo é de um chalé francês, em estrutura pré-fabricada e importada da Europa. O prédio é tombado pelo patrimônio histórico nacional.
O museu foi inaugurado em 1972, e até o fim da década de 1990 era administrado pelo Departamento Nacional de Estradas de Rodagem (DNER). Com o fim do departamento, é administrado atualmente pela Prefeitura de Comendador Levy Gasparian, encarregada pelo IPHAN da tutela provisória da instituição. A prefeitura tenta desde então repassar o controle do museu ao DNIT, que substituiu o DNER.

The Road Paraibuna Museum is a museum located in the municipality of Commander Levy Gasparian (RJ). There is recorded the history of transport in the old Union and Industry road, keeping relics as a vehicle known as "Mazeppa" (above, next to the building), considered one of the "cars" most modern and comfortable mid-nineteenth century.
The building that houses the museum was built in 1860 by the Union Company and Industry to host the 8th Season of Changes, one of the twelve stopping places on the highway Union and Industry to replace horses and carriages and the rest of passengers when traveling between Petrópolis and Juiz de Fora.
His style is a cottage French, prefabricated structure, and imported from Europe. The building is listed by the National Historic Landmark.
The museum opened in 1972, and until the end of the 1990s was run by the National Department of Highways (DNER). With the end of the department, is currently administered by the City of Commander Levy Gasparian, commissioned by the IPHAN interim protection of the institution. The city tries to pass since the control of DNIT museum, which replaced the DNER.
