Os uruguaios vêm marcando presença contínua. +Dom Moysés se sente muito honrado e até como se fosse Cidadão do Uruguai, pois foi titulado como Membro Honorário da Câmara de Pastores Evangélicos de lá, com sede em Montevidéu. A lauda foi assinada por +Dom Sebastián Camacho Bentancur.

Por seu apoio a missionários brasileiros no Uruguay foi homenageado pela Assembleia de Deus, no Brasil, com uma medalha especial “República do Uruguai”.

For their support of Brazilian missionaries in Uruguay was honored by the Assembly of God in Brazil, with a special medal “Republic of Uruguay”.

O casal de missionários brasileiros Daniel e Clélia de Oliveira, da Junta de Missões Mundiais (Convenção Batista Brasileira), atua no Uruguai há vinte anos: estes obreiros estão em Montevidéu, onde falam do amor de Deus para muitas pessoas.

The missionary couple and Clelia Brazilian Daniel Oliveira, of the Foreign Mission Board (Brazilian Baptist Convention), operates in Uruguay twenty years: these workers are in Montevideo, where they speak of God's love for many people.

Em recente tragédia provocada por fortes chuvas, na cidade de Las Piedras (mais exatamente no bairro Santo Isidro), este casal encabeçou uma campanha para ajudar os vitimados, e a resposta da população foi imediata e expressiva.

In recent tragedy caused by heavy rains in the city of Las Piedras (more precisely in the district San Isidro), this couple led a campaign to help the victims, and the population response was immediate and significant.

Assim agem os missionários batistas do Brasil, procurando levar à população o Evangelho Integral, e os resultados têm sido palpáveis na obra do Senhor.

Neste ano de 2011 a presença missionária do Brasil no Uruguai está completando seu primeiro centenário: foi em agosto de 1911 que o missionário Jaime C. Quarles e sua esposa Epifania Gonzales, procedentes da Argentina, fundaram a Primeira Igreja Batista na capital, Montevidéu, com seis membros, segundo informações do Pastor Daniel Oliveira e de sua esposa Célia, atuais missionários no Uruguai.

In 2011 the missionary presence from Brazil in Uruguay is celebrating its first centenary, it was in August 1911 that the missionary Jaime C. Quarles and his wife Epiphany Gonzales, from Argentina, founded the First Baptist Church in the capital Montevideo, with six members, according to Pastor Daniel Oliveira and his wife Celia, current missionaries in Uruguay.

Na atualidade os batistas uruguaios contam com 75 Igrejas e um total de aproximadamente 6 mil membros, em diferentes regiões do vizinho país: a foto acima é do Pastor Daniel ministrando o batismo.

Dilma Rousseff foi empossada como Presidente do Brasil no dia 01 de janeiro de 2011, em solenidade realizada em Brasilia (capital do país), que contou com a presença de mais de cem representantes de nações de todo o mundo, entre as quais o Uruguai.

Dilma Rousseff was sworn in as President of Brazil on 01 January 2011, during a ceremony held in Brasilia (the capital), which was attended by more than one hundred representatives from nations around the world, including Uruguay.

Cumprindo agendamento alguns deles  foram recebidos pela primeira mulher na presidência do Brasil, no Palácio do Planalto (sede do governo), entre os quais o Presidente Jose Mujica, do Uruguai, como registra a foto.

Fulfilling schedule, some of them were received by the first woman president of Brazil, in the Planalto Palace (seat of government), including the President of the Uruguay, Jose Mujica, as mentioned in the photo.

O Museu de Arte Contemporânea da Universidade de São Paulo iniciou a partir de 8 de março de 2008, Dia Internacional da Mulher, a Exposição “Mulheres Artistas: Relatos Culturais”, acompanhada de conferências e de atividades educativas.

The Museum of Contemporary Art, University of São Paulo started from March 8, 2008, International Women's Day, the exhibition “Women Artists: Cultural Stories”, accompanied by conferences and educational activities.

A mostra coletiva, com curadoria de Radha Abramo, faz parte do ciclo “Mulheres Artistas e a Contemporaneidade”, que teve começo no ano de 2007 e que se estendendo até 2010 e contando com obras das artistas latino-americanas Lacy Duarte (Uruguai), Bruna Truffa (Chile), Ana Miguel (Brasil) e Paola Parcerisa (Paraguai).

The group show, curated by Radha Abramo, part of the cycle “and the Contemporary Women Artists”, which had earlier in the year 2007 and extending until 2010 and relying on the works of Latin American artists Lacy Duarte (Uruguay), Bruna Truffa (Chile), Ana Miguel (Brazil) and Paola Parcerisa (Paraguay).

Entre os dias 19 e 20 de abril de 2010 foi realizada em Punta del Este, URUGUAI, com a presença do Brasil, a 35ª Reunião Ministerial do GRUPO DE CAIRNS (formado em 1986, na cidade com este nome - Austrália). É um mecanismo internacional e seus membros são responsáveis por mais de 25% das exportações mundiais de produtos agrícolas.

Between 19 and April 20, 2010 was held in Punta del Este, URUGUAY, with the presence of Brazil, the 35th Ministerial Meeting of the Cairns Group (formed in 1986 in the town with this name - Australia). It is an international mechanism and its members are responsible for more than 25% of world exports of agricultural products.

Fazem parte do Grupo, Argentina, Austrália, Bolívia, Brasil, Canadá, Chile, Colômbia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Indonésia, Malásia, Nova Zelândia, Paquistão, Paraguai, Peru, Filipinas, África do Sul, Tailândia e Uruguai.
