LITTLE HISTORICAL
A República de FIJI ou Fidji, oficialmente República das Ilhas Fiji é um país insular da Oceania que faz fronteira marítima com Tuvalu e com o território francês de Wallis e Futuna a norte; com Tonga a leste, e com o território francês da Nova Caledónia, com Vanuatu e com as Ilhas Salomão a oeste: na parte sul, a terra mais próxima corresponde às ilhas de Kermadec (Nova Zelândia), mas estão bastante afastadas (cerca de dois mil km).
The Republic of Fiji or Fiji, officially the Republic of Fiji is an island country in Oceania that makes maritime border with Tuvalu and the French territory of Wallis and Futuna north, east to Tonga, and the French territory of New Caledonia, with Vanuatu and the Solomon Islands to the west: in the south, the nearest land meets the Kermadec Islands (New Zealand), but are far apart (about two thousand kilometers).
O arquipélago de Fiji consiste de 322 ilhas (há informações que falam de mais de 800 ilhas e ilhotas) um terço das quais são desabitadas, sendo que as duas ilhas mais importantes são Viti Levu (onde fica a capital Suva) e Vanua Levu, onde vivem quase três quartos da população: as línguas mais faladas são o inglês e fidijano.
The archipelago of Fiji consists of 322 islands (there is information that speak more than 800 islands and islets), of which one third are inhabited, and the two most important islands are Viti Levu (where the capital Suva) and Vanua Levu, home to nearly three quarters of the population: the most widely spoken languages are English and fidijano.
Todas as ilhas são montanhosas, com picos que se erguem aos 1.324 metros no Monte Vitória (ou Tomanici na língua fidjiana), na área central da ilha Viti Levu, e cobertas por florestas tropicais: outras cidades importantes são Labasa, Lautoka, Nadi e Savusavu (imagens abaixo).
All the islands are mountainous, with peaks that rise to 1.324 meters on Mount Victoria (or Tomanici Fijian language) in the central island of Viti Levu, and covered with tropical forests, other important towns are Labasa, Lautoka, Nadi and Savusavu (image below).
Em 1643, o navegador holandês Abel Tasman aportou no arquipélago de Fiji, sendo o o primeiro europeu a chegar a região e em 1774, o navegador inglês James Cook velejou próximo do arquipélago: em 1874, o Reino Unido elevou o território ao status de colônia.
In 1643, Dutch navigator Abel Tasman arrived in the archipelago of Fiji, being the the first European to reach the region and in 1774, the English navigator James Cook sailed around the islands: in 1874, the United Kingdom raised the status of territory to the colony.

A University of the South Pacific (fundada em 1968) tem 14 campus em 12 países-membros, insulares (Ilhas Cook, Fiji, Kiribati, Ilhas Marshall, Nauru, Niue, Samoa, Ilhas Salomão, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu e Vanuatu), sendo que as principais instalações ficam em FIDJI e localizam-se na ilha principal de Viti Levu: a universidade formou sua primeira turma de 32 alunos em 1971 e durante todos esses anos mais de 30.000 licenciados já concluíram com êxito seus estudos (nos mais diferentes cursos) sendo que hoje a universidade tem um registro de mais de 19.000 estudantes nestes 12 países-membros.
The University of the South Pacific (Founded in 1968) has 14 campuses in 12 member countries, islands (Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Niue, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu), and major facilities stay in FIJI and are located on the main island of Viti Levu, the university graduated its first class of 32 students in 1971 and during all these years more than 30,000 graduates have successfully completed their studies (in many different courses) and today the university has an enrollment of more than 19.000 students in these 12 member countries.

No Brasil, sede do Ministério Evangélico Internacional Valorizando a Vida!, liderado por +Dom Moysés Barbosa, Dilma Roussef é a primeira mulher a ocupar a Presidência da República, nos 510 anos de história do país sul-americano, e será empossada dia primeiro de janeiro de 2011. O Brasil foi descoberto pelos portugueses no dia 22 de abril de 1500.
