Ao que se verifica pelos fatos narrados pela História das Américas, todos os países da América Central são valorosos, e Honduras é um deles, limitando-se ao norte pelo Golfo das Honduras, a norte e a leste pelo Mar das Caraíbas (por onde possui fronteira marítima com o território colombiano de San Andrés e Providencia), a sul pela Nicarágua, pelo Golfo de Fonseca e por El Salvador e a oeste pela Guatemala, sendo Tegucigalpa a sua capital.

OS PRIMÓRDIOS
THE BEGINNINGS
Honduras foi descoberta em 1.500 AD, por Cristóvão Colombo, em sua quarta viagem, sendo que o navegador espanhol encontrou um território marcado pela presença da civilização maia, e só após um período difícil de guerras contra os índios (1523-1539) é que os espanhóis conseguiram assegurar o controle da colônia de 112.492 km2 que, a partir de 1570, passou a ficar sob a administração geral da Guatemala (também colônia espanhola), isso até 15 de setembro de 1821, quando conseguiu tornar-se independente.

No Brasil, sede do Ministério Evangélico Internacional Valorizando a Vida!, liderado por +Dom Moysés Barbosa, Dilma Roussef é a primeira mulher a ocupar a Presidência da República, nos 510 anos de história do país sul-americano, e será empossada dia primeiro de janeiro de 2011. O Brasil foi descoberto pelos portugueses no dia 22 de abril de 1500.

O ministro das Relações Exteriores de Honduras, Milton Jiménez Puerto (direita), visitou Brasília em 09 de janeiro de 2008, atendendo a convite do ministro Celso Amorim, visita esta serviu para dar seguimento aos acordos alcançados e às perspectivas de cooperação abertas durante a visita do presidente do Brasil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, a Honduras em agosto de 2007, que os chanceleres consideraram um marco histórico no desenvolvimento das relações bilaterais.

O Memorial dos Povos Indígenas (acima), no período de 01/12/2008 a 01/02/2009, realizou na capital do Brasil (Brasilia), com entrada franca, a Exposição Okara, em parceria com a Casa da Cultura da América Latina da Universidade de Brasília e Embaixadas da Bolívia, Canadá, HONDURAS, México, Panamá e Venezuela, que reuniu obras produzidas pelos povos nativos desses países.
