São poucas as traduções da literatura finlandesa para o português do Brasil. Algumas obras de Mika Waltari existem. A epopéia nacional da Finlândia, Kalevala, tem uma tradução em Portugal. Além disso, o primeiro poema de Kalevala foi publicado, com comentários, em português brasileiro em 2009.

Dos compositores finlandeses Jean Sibelius é o mais conhecido. A sua música é apresentada nas rádios que transmitem música clássica. As composições de Sibelius fazem parte, também, dos programas das orquestras sinfônicas e filarmônicas brasileiras; entre outros, a Orquestra Sinfônica de Brasília apresentou, em dezembro de 2008, a sinfonia Kullervo do compositor finlandês. Quanto à música popular, HIM, The Rasmus e Nightwish, entre outros, ganharam fãs no Brasil. Quando se apresenta no Brasil, a banda Nightwish sempre lota os lugares nos quais se apresenta. As for popular music, HIM, The Rasmus and Nightwish, among others, have won fans in Brazil. When offered in Brazil, the band Nightwish always fills the places where it presents itself. Nightwish made an extensive tour in Brazil in November 2008.

Para a escolha do projeto, organizaram um concurso exclusivo para profissionais do Brasil. Venceram a competição os arquitetos Marcelo Ferraz e Francisco Fanucci, que mostram aqui proposta de estabelecimento de um diálogo entre as arquiteturas finlandesa e brasileira.

O Presidente da Petrobras, José Sergio Gabrielli de Azevedo (foto), recebeu dia 12/04/10 uma comitiva com 12 Embaixadores da União Européia, na sede da Petrobras. Durante o encontro foram apresentadas as operações da Companhia e os investimentos previstos para os próximos anos.

Os principais temas abordados foram biocombustíveis, política de conteúdo nacional, capacitação de mão-de-obra e flexibilidade para atender a demanda do gás natural.
