Cairo
Capital do Egito, Cairo é a maior cidade em África. O seu nome em árabe significa “a vitoriosa”. Situa-se no sítio contíguo à ponta do delta do rio Nilo, onde o curso do Nilo se divide em dois braços. Havia precedentes que serviam de centros prósperos e capitais anteriores; Heliópolis (Own), El Fustat, a primeira capital islâmica na África, al Asskar e Al Qatae. Como coração da vida egípcia, é o centro das actividades econômicas, políticas, e culturais do país. O grande Cairo contém uma superfície de terreno que incluí além da cidade do Cairo, partes da província de Guiza (Gizé) e da província de Qaliobeia. Dispõe de cerca de 450 quilómetros quadrados de área, e mais de 50 km de diâmetro.
Capital of Egypt, Cairo is the largest city in Africa. Its name in Arabic means “the victorious”. It is located on the site adjacent to the tip of the Nile delta, where the. course of the Nile splits into two arms. There were precedents that served as centers and prosperous capital earlier; Heliopolis (Own), El Fustat, the first Islamic capital in Africa, and Al al AssKaro Qata. As the heart of Egyptian life, is the center of economic activities, political, and cultural country. The Cairo contains a large area of land that also includes the city of Cairo, parts of the province of Giza (Giza) and the province of Qaliobeia. Alexandria é uma cidade ao norte do Egito, situada a oeste do delta do rio Nilo, às margens do Mar Mediterrâneo, sendo o principal porto do país, a principal cidade comercial e a segunda maior cidade do Egito, com cerca de 3,5 milhões de habitantes (2001).

A cidade ficou conhecida por causa do empreendimento de tornar-se, na antigüidade, o centro de todo conhecimento do homem, com a criação da Biblioteca de Alexandria, que desapareceu no ano 318 de nossa era, mas foi refeita como se vê na foto de baixo da sequência acima.

Possui vastas instalações portuárias (embarque de algodão) e a parte ocidental do porto ocupa cerca de 900ha e a parte oriente constitui o porto de pesca e entre estas duas docas está localizada a cidade maometana, com ruas estreitas e bazares.

O Brasil foi descoberto pelos portugueses no dia 22 de abril de 1500.

A gente vai poder pagar em solidariedade, em ajuda humanitária, em ajuda ao desenvolvimento, em ajuda no conhecimento científico e tecnológico que o Brasil tem a ajudar o povo da África. Assim como o Brasil, todos aqueles que conseguiram crescer colocando em prática a política, eu diria, intolerável da escravidão”.

No dia 30 de outubro de 2007, em Alexandria, no EGITO, o Navio-Escola “Brasil” recebeu a visita de um grupo de Guardas-Marinha da Academia Naval do Egito, que, acompanhados por Guardas-Marinha brasileiros, aproveitaram a oportunidade para conhecer as instalações e as atividades desenvolvidas no navio, lá aportado dentro do percurso da sua XXI viagem de instrução.

Houve visitação à Biblioteca de Alexandria, uma das maiores bibliotecas do mundo, cuja fundação remonta ao início do Século III a.C., durante o reinado de Ptolomeu II do Egito. Em 646, foi destruída em um incêndio e uma nova biblioteca foi inaugurada, em 2003. Sua estrutura, que tem o nome oficial de "Bibliotheca Alexandrina", integra, além do prédio principal, quatro bibliotecas especializadas, laboratórios, um planetário, um museu de ciências, um de caligrafia e uma sala de congressos e exposições.

Nessa visita, o Comandante do navio entregou dois exemplares do Livro Poder Naval (em Inglês e Português) e um livro sobre a arte barroca no Brasil, que agora fazem parte do acervo de um dos maiores e mais importantes centros de conhecimento do mundo.

No dia 03/12/04, o Presidente do Brasil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, visitou o EGITO, com a finalidade de incrementar os intercâmbios comerciais dos países árabes com o Brasil.

De 26 a 29 de outubro de 2009, os visitantes do Fórum de Ciências e Cultura da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Brasil, puderam conhecer peças que retratam a arte da época dos faraós, como Akhenaton e Tutankhamon. Réplicas de objetos egípcios e pertencem ao acervo da filósofa Marisa Castello Branco, especialista em Antigo Egito, que há 40 anos se dedica ao estudo do tema, e autora do livro “Do Egito milenar à Eternidade”.
From 26 to October 29, 2009, visitors to the Forum of Science and Culture of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Brazil, were able to learn pieces that portray the art of the pharaohs, as Akhenaten and Tutankhamun. Replicas of Egyptian objects and belong to the collection of the philosopher Marisa Castello Branco, an expert on ancient Egypt, which for 40 years dedicated to the study of the subject, and author of "From ancient Egypt to Eternity."
A Exposição, “O Esplendor da 18ª Dinastia” parte do projeto "O Egito no Brasil" idealizado pela jornalista Márcia Machado, foi montado com a orientação de Marisa e a contribuição do egípcio Aziz Aly, professor universitário, que permitiu a inclusão de vários papiros na mostra.

The Minister of Industry and Trade of Egypt, Rachid Mohamed made an appeal on 15/04/10 for the 86 Brazilian businessmen traveling to the country to invest in the Egyptian market.
Ele afirmou que há espaço para parcerias nos setores de agronegócios, turismo e transportes. O Ministro do Desenvolvimento, Indústria e Comércio Exterior do Brasil, Miguel Jorge, também pediu aos 220 empresários egípcios que firmem acordos com os brasileiros, seguro de que o incremento das relações comerciais entre Egito e Brasil será muito proveitoso para ambas as nações.
He said there is room for partnerships in agribusiness, tourism and transport. The Minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade of Brazil, Miguel Jorge, also asked the 220 Egyptian businessmen who enter into agreements with the Brazilian insurance that increased trade relations between Egypt and Brazil will be very beneficial to both nations.

Foi durante a exposição A ARTE NO EGITO NO TEMPO DOS FARAÓS, de 4 de maio a 22 de julho de 2001 (quase dez anos), no Museu de Arte Brasileira da FAAP-Fundação Armando Àlvares Penteado, em São Paulo.
It was during the exhibition THE ART IN EGYPT ON time of the pharaohs, from May 4 to July 22, 2001 (almost ten years), the Museum de Art Brazilian of the FAAP - Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado in Sao Paulo.
Pela primeira vez a cultura milenar do povo egípcio, representada por 56 significativas peças do acervo do Museu do Louvre, de Paris, pôde ser vista no Brasil, com um enfoque centrado na arte, nas técnicas e nos materiais utilizados pelos antigos artesãos e artistas egípcios.
For the first time the ancient culture of the Egyptian people, represented by 56 significant pieces of the collection of the Louvre Museum in Paris, could be seen in Brazil, with an approach focused on art, techniques and materials used by ancient Egyptian artists and craftsmen.
DJED-KHONSU-IU-EF-ANKH
Os sarcófagos, com pinturas resistindo a milênios, também impressionaram, como o invólucro (peça intermediária entre a múmia e o sarcófago) da múmia de Djed-khonsu-iu-ef-ankh (945-715 a.C), feito de cartonagem, uma espécie de aglomerado de tecido estucado e pintado. Os desenhos faziam parte dos rituais e tinham objetivos de natureza religiosa. Dois documentários sobre o Egito antigo também ajudaram a mostrar o cotidiano da civilização egípcia.
The sarcophagi, paintings resisting millennia, also impressed, as the housing (intermediate part between the mummy and the sarcophagus) the mummy Djed-khonsu-iu-f-ankh (945-715 BC), made of cardboard, a kind of cluster of stuccoed and painted fabric. The drawings were part of rituals and had goals of a religious nature. Two documentaries about ancient Egypt also helped to show the daily life of Egyptian civilization.

No commercial exchange Brazil buys cotton from Egypt, rugs, coats, leather, food. From Brazil to Egypt, leaving sugar, iron ore, oil and soybean meal, tobacco, meat, vehicles, machinery, paper and many others.
