Não poderíamos deixar de manifestar nossa satisfação, quando o Ministério Evangélico Internacional Valorizando a Vida! chega ao Chile, este país tão estimado na comunidade da América do Sul e que recebe seus visitantes com muito entusiasmo. Certamente por isso é um dos mais apreciados para o turismo, com feições culturais que chamam a atenção e encantam, como por exemplo a pacífica e frutífera convivência de prédios antigos, muito bem conservados, com a arquitetura moderna. Neste país é grande a religiosidade do povo, com 89,9% de cristãos, dos quais 13,2% são de denominações evangélicas. Apenas uns 4% da população não são filiados a nenhum tipo de igreja, segundo as últimas pesquisas.

Chile comes to this country as estimated in the community of South America and it receives its visitors with great enthusiasm. CHILE: MISSIONÁRIOS BRASILEIROS CRIAM “SOCORRO OPORTUNO AO SUICIDA”
CHILE: BRAZILIAN MISSIONARY CREATE "TIMELY HELP TO SUICIDE"

Sob inspiração de Deus, os missionários da Convenção Batista Brasileira, Pastor Silas Luiz Gomes e Aldair Gomes (foto), que estão em Antofagasta, no Chile, criaram um Projeto Social chamado SOS (Socorro Oportuno ao Suicida), que consiste em ajudar por telefone aqueles que sem esperança, pensam em dar fim à própria vida.

No período de 24 a 27 de maio de 2011 foi realizado o Primeiro Retiro Espiritual dos Missionários da Junta de Missões Mundiais - JMM (Convenção Batista Brasileira) que atuam no Cone Sul.

Foi na cidade de Mejillones, Região de Antofagasta, no Chile, e reuniu cerca de 50 pessoas, entre os quais o Pastor João Marcos Barreto Soares (da JMM) e sua esposa Elzi; Pastor Paulo Roberto e a irmã Luciana Albuquerque, que lideram a Igreja Batista Memorial de Duque de Caxias (Brasil), bem como o Pastor Antonio Galvão, Coordenador dos Missionários naquela área.

It was in the city of Mejillones, Antofagasta Region, Chile, and brought together about 50 people, including Pastor João Marcos Barreto Soares (of the JMM) and his wife, Elzie; Pastor Paulo Roberto her sister Luciana, who lead the Church Baptist Memorial Duque de Caxias (Brazil), and Pastor Antonio Galvao, Coordinator of the Missionaries in the area.

De acordo com a assessora de imprensa de Médicos Sem Fronteiras (MSF) do Brasil, Juliana Braga, equipes da organização estão se dirigindo para o interior do Cihile, com o intuito de realizar trabalhos nas regiões litorâneas, que estão entre as mais afetadas pelo terremoto de 27/02/10.

BRASIL-CHILE: CONGRAÇAMENTO TECNOLÓGICO
BRAZIL-CHILE: INGRATIATING TECHNOLOGY

Nos dias 05 e 06/07/07, brasileiros e chilenos voltatam a se encontrar em Santiago do CHILE para discutir mecanismos de financiamento para ciência, tecnologia e inovação. Na oportunidade, foram apresentadas as capacidades de ambos países nas áreas de biotecnologia aplicada ao setor florestal, bioenergia, capital de risco e mão-de-obra profissional.

IGREJAS BATISTAS DO BRASIL ENVIAM MISSIONÁRIOS AO CHILE
BAPTIST CHURCHES OF BRAZIL SEND MISSIONARIES TO CHILE

Um grupo de 33 voluntários brasileiros de igrejas batistas dos estados de São Paulo, Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso e Bahia participou de uma viagem missionária ao CHILE, sob coordenação da Primeira Igreja Batista de Dourados (MS).

A group of 33 Brazilian volunteers of Baptist churches in the states of Sao Paulo, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso and Bahia participated in a mission trip to Chile, under the coordination of the First Baptist Church of Dourados (MS).

Os voluntários estiveram em Iquique, Arica e em Pozo Almonte.

O objetivo foi dar apoio à família do missionário William Carrilho da Silva e sua esposa e filhos, da Junta de Missões Mundiais da Convenção Batista Brasileira, à qual pertence o Presidente do “International Ministry”. Com parte do país devastado pelo terremoto no dia 27/02/10 (8,8 graus na escala Richter), o CHILE deverá receber apoio do Brasil, que pretende enviar profissionais de saúde, e ajudar com estruturas para hospitais de campanha e pontes móveis.

CHEGADA A SANTIAGO
ARRIVAL IN SANTIAGO

É simplesmente impressionante a vista que se tem quando se chega de avião à cidade de Santiago do Chile. Por cerca de meia hora se sobrevoa o relevo da famosa Cordilheira dos Andes. É uma operação de aterrissagem realmente bonita, mas que causa susto aos que visitam aquela capital pela primeira vez por via aérea.

Sim, o aeroporto situa-se no sopé da Cordilheira e temos a nítida impressão de que a aeronave chega bem perto dos montes nevados. A foto acima é uma visão que se tem de dentro do avião.
