Algeria is an important country in northwest Africa. The capital, Algiers, is a big city half way between the extremes of north Africa. Outlet of the basin located in a rich and easy to practice, provides a continuous development of large area.

Em seu programa de rádio “CAFÉ COM O PRESIDENTE”, do dia 27/07/2010, o Presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (foto), do Brasil, disse que há uma dívida do Brasil com a África que nunca vai poder ser paga em dinheiro. Afirmou textualmente o Presidente, em fala que foi divulgada também pela página do Palácio do Planalto na internet:
On his radio program “BREAKFAST WITH THE PRESIDENT”, the day 27/07/2010 The President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (photo), of Brazil, said there was a debt of Brazil and Africa that will never be paid in cash. Literally said the president, in speech that was also released by the page from the Presidential Palace on the Internet:
“É importante a gente nunca esquecer que nós ficamos 380 anos praticando escravidão neste país. O Brasil foi o último país do mundo a abolir a escravidão. Acho que nós temos uma dívida enorme com o continente africano, com o povo africano. É uma dívida que a gente nunca vai poder pagar em dinheiro. A gente vai poder pagar em solidariedade, em ajuda humanitária, em ajuda ao desenvolvimento, em ajuda no conhecimento científico e tecnológico que o Brasil tem a ajudar o povo da África. Assim como o Brasil, todos aqueles que conseguiram crescer colocando em prática a política, eu diria, intolerável da escravidão”.

I think we have a huge debt to the African continent with the African people. It is a debt we will never be able to pay in cash. O Ministro das Relações Exteriores do Brasil, Embaixador Celso Amorim (foto), iniciou em 17/02/05 visita oficial a vários países árabes, entre os quais a Tunísia e ARGÉLIA. A viagem, que se estendeu até o dia 26/02/05 serviu para dar continuidade ao trato de alguns temas bilaterais e, também, à preparação da Cúpula de Chefes de Estado e de Governo da América do Sul e dos Países Árabes, programado para Brasília (Brasil) nos dias 10 e 11/05/05.
The Foreign Minister of Brazil, Ambassador Celso Amorim (photo), on 02/17/2005 started an official visit to several Arab countries, including Tunisia and Algeria. The trip, which lasted until the day 26.2.2005 served to continue the treatment of some bilateral issues and also the preparation of the Summit of Heads of State and Government of South American and Arab Countries, scheduled to Brasilia (Brazil) on 10 and 11/05/05.

A Exposição, de 15/10 a 8/11/09, no Museu Afro-Brasil, na Av Pedro Álvares Cabral (Ibirapuera), em São Paulo. PICHA na língua Swahili, ou suali, quer dizer “desenho” e é uma corruptela da palavra inglesa “picture”, imagem.

A inédita Exposição Picha, apresentou obras de roteiristas e desenhistas de 16 países do Continente Africano, entre os quais Nigéria, Benin, Argélia e África do Sul. Uma importante reunião de originais de desenhos, álbuns, revistas e publicações de jornais e revistas, e ainda banco de dados com informações sobre desenhistas, chargistas e caricaturistas.
The unprecedented exposure Picha, presented works by writers and artists from 16 countries from Africa, including Nigeria, Benin, Algeria and South Africa An important meeting of original drawings, books, journals and newspapers and magazines, and has database with information on designers, cartoonists and caricaturists.

MOÇAMBIQUE tem um déficit em arroz de cerca de 340.000 toneladas anuais, que está sendo, em parte, suprido com apoio do governo do JAPÃO, quer com a oferta de alimentos quer na ajuda à produção na região sul moçambicana.
MOZAMBIQUE has a rice deficit of about 340,000 tons annually, which is partly supplied to support the Government of Japan, and about the availability of food aid or in production in southern Mozambique.
A Agência Japonesa para a Cooperação Internacional está também envolvida em projetos de aumento da cultura de arroz (e de outras culturas, como o feijão) noutras áreas do país da costa oriental da África Austral.
The Japanese Agency for International Cooperation is also involved in projects to increase the cultivation of rice (and other crops such as beans) elsewhere in the country the east coast of southern Africa.
O BRASIL e a ARGÉLIA são outros países que apoiam Moçambique no aumento da produção agrícola, especialmente na do arroz.
The BRAZIL ALGERIA and other countries are supporting Mozambique in increased agricultural production, especially in rice.

O ministro das Relações Exteriores do Brasil, Celso Amorim, foi recebido dia 22/06/09 em Argel, pelo presidente da Argélia, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, com quem discutiu a possibilidade de uma “parceria renovada” entre o Brasil e o país africano. A parceria teria por objetivo aumentar a cooperação bilateral nas áreas de desenvolvimento industrial e produção agrícola.
The Foreign Minister of Brazil, Celso Amorim, met in Algiers 22/06/09 days, the president of Algeria, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, with whom he discussed the possibility of a “renewed partnership” between Brazil and African countries.
