Para assinalar o transcurso, em 2011, dos 45 anos de ministério evangélico de +Dom Moyses Barbosa, o Conselho Nacional de Pastores Evangélicos instituiu a Medalha “Grande Homenagem Eclesiástico-ministerial +Dom Moysés Barbosa”, contendo a foto do homenageado, que iniciou suas atividades em 1963, como Capelão Militar Auxiliar no Exército Brasileiro, em regime de voluntariado, cargo que exerceu enquanto durou seu serviço militar: foi, ainda, evangelista / conferencista, educador religioso, e na atualidade é Pastor na Convenção Batista Brasileira e bispo (pastor de pastores) no Ministério Evangélico Internacional Valorizando a Vida!

To mark the passing in 2011, 45 years gospel ministry of +Don Moyses Barbosa, the National Council of Evangelical Pastors instituted the medal “Grand Tribute Ministerial-Ecclesiastical +Don Moyses Barbosa”, containing a photo of the honoree, who began his activities in 1963, as Military Chaplain Assistant in the Brazilian Army, on a voluntary basis, a position he took as his military service, was also evangelist / speaker, religious educator, and currently is pastor in the Brazilian Baptist Convention and a bishop (pastor pastors) in the International Evangelical Ministry Valuing the Life!

A instituição se deu em 16/05/11, mas a entrega do certificado de instituição e investidura de +Dom Moysés como patrono da condecoração, com homenagem ao mesmo e entrega de exemplares, foi fixada para 13/06/11 - DIA DO PATRIARCA, valendo dizer que esta elevada comenda será concedida pelo Conselho, anualmente, aos obreiros evangélicos que se destacarem em seus ministérios.

The institution took place on 16/05/11, but delivery of the certificate of institution and endowment +Don Moyses as a patron of the award, with the same honor and delivery units, was set for 13/06/11 - DAY OF THE PATRIARCH, worth saying that this high commendation will be given by the Council annually, to the Gospel workers who excel in their ministries.

Durante este período (até abril de 2011), +Dom Moysés proferiu 800 sermões e prédicas diversas, nas mais diferentes situações, além do Exército: sermões e conferências em Igrejas (todas as denominações evangélicas), aconselhamentos espirituais anti-drogas em casas de recuperação, solenidades de formatura, cultos lareiros, reuniões associacionais, seminários teológicos, congressos, casamentos, bodas de prata e de ouro, retiros, organização de igrejas, consagrações de obreiros, prisões, hospitais e em tantas outras circunstâncias, serviços fúnebres, sem contar palavras como professor de cursos de teologia ou de Escola Biblica Dominical.

During this period (until April 2011), +Don Moyses delivered 800 sermons and preachings different in many different situations, along with the Army, sermons and lectures in churches (all denominations), spiritual counseling in anti-drug recovery houses, graduation ceremonies, cults, fireplaces, meeting associations, theological seminaries, conferences, weddings, wedding silver and gold, retreats, church polity, consecrations of workers, prisons, hospitals and many other circumstances, funeral services, not to mention words such as teacher courses in theology or Biblical School of Sunday.

O exemplar da medalha apresentado acima é histórico, com edição limitada definida pelo Conselho Nacional de Pastores Evangélicos, para fazer parte do acervo pessoal do patrono da mesma, ou seja, do homenageado +Dom Moysés Barbosa, e também de Instituições, Seminários, Museus, Convenções e Igrejas Evangélicas, no Brasil e no exterior.

The specimen of the medal presented above is historical, limited edition set by the National Council of Evangelical Pastors, to be part of the personal patron of the same, ie, the honored +Don Moyses Barbosa, and also to Institutions, Seminars, Museums, Conventions and Evangelical Churches in Brazil and abroad.

+Dom Moysés iniciou seu ministério em 1963, como Capelão Auxiliar no Exército, comissionamento que exerceu até 1967, tendo reiniciado em 1972 e indo até 1988 como Evangelista.

Pelo Ministério exercido como Capelão Militar (ocasião em que começou a fazer cursos teológicos), ficou conhecido como “o Profeta”, o que está registrado no prefácio de seu livro Solidão Poesias, da lavra do editor, que saiu a público em 1970.

Um curso bíblico, simples, concluído em 07 de novembro de 1960, mas sem dúvida de grande valor (imagem acima), que +Dom Moyses fez em 1960, portanto há mais de 50 anos, foi o primeiro passo dado, mesmo que involuntariamente, para o início de seu ministério evangélico, pois a partir daí passou a refletir mais profundamente a respeito das verdades sagradas e então buscou mais conhecimentos sobre a Palavra de Deus.

Quando iniciou o serviço militar em 1963, no Exército Brasileiro, o Setor de Capelania do Batalhão (voluntariado), poucos meses depois o admitiu como Capelão Millitar Auxiliar, pois logo percebera seus pendores para a evangelização e seu grande interesse em exercitá-la: +Dom Moysés exerceu este comissionamento até 1967.
