Não se pode dizer que à Bíblia sempre esteve à frente da ciência em tudo, pois as próprias Escrituras dizem que a ciência se multiplicaria e, assim, chegaria (como chegou) a descobertas das quais não encontramos referências no texto sagrado: mas em muitas coisas que os cientistas, descobridores, estudiosos, pesquisadores etc. levaram anos e anos para comprovar, a Palavra de Deus já registrava Séculos e Séculos antes.
You can not say that the Bible has always been ahead of science in everything, for the Scriptures themselves say that science would multiply and thus arrive (how it got) the findings of which found no references in the sacred text, but in many things scientists, explorers, scholars, researchers, etc.. took years and years to prove the Word of God has recorded many centuries before.
Tomemos, por exemplo, a quantidade de estrelas: astrônomos declaram que existem dez mil bilhões de bilhões de estrelas no universo, mas vale notar que a ciência descobre estrelas novas continuamente.
Take, for example, the number of stars, astronomers claim that there are ten thousand billion billion stars in the universe, but it is worth noting that science continually discovers new stars.
A quantidade de estrelas é incontável (Jeremias 33:22), sim, pois o quantitativo acima definido levaria cem milhões de bilhões de anos para contá-las, se contássemos dez estrelas por segundo.
The number of stars is uncountable (Jeremiah 33:22), but because the amount would set up a hundred million billion years to count them, if you count ten stars per second.
O sol é uma estrela e a mais próxima da Terra, distando cerca de 150 milhões de quilômetros: para alcançar outras, mesmo que pudéssemos viajar pelo espaço na velocidade da luz (300 mil quilômetros por segundo), seriam necessários centenas, milhares e até milhões de anos! No capitulo 22 do livro de Jó, versículo 12, estas alturas intermináveis já estavam anunciadas por Elifaz.
The sun is a star and closer to Earth, lying about 150 million km, to reach other, even if we could travel through space at the speed of light (300,000 kilometers per second) it would take hundreds, thousands and even millions of years! In chapter 22 the book of Job, verse 12, these endless heights were already announced by Eliphaz.
Muitos fatos científicos que vieram à luz após exaustivas e dispendiosas pesquisas estão declarados na Bíblia: em Eclesiastes 1:6, Salomão descreve a circulação atmosférica, e no verso 7 ele descreve o ciclo da água. Em Isaías 40:22, o profeta declarou há milhares de anos que a Terra é redonda, mas só em 1492 o navegador Cristóvão Colombo realizou sua viagem rumo ao ocidente para provar tal fato. No livro de Jó no capitulo 26, versículo há comentário sobre o campo gravitacional da Terra.
Many scientific facts that came to light after exhaustive and expensive research is reported in the Bible, in Ecclesiastes 1:6, Solomon describes the atmospheric circulation, and in verse 7 he describes the water cycle. In Isaiah 40:22 the prophet said thousands of years ago that the Earth is round, but only in 1492, navigator Christopher Columbus made his journey to the West to prove it. In the book of Job in chapter 26, verse no comment about the Earth's gravitational field.
