O PENTATEUCO FOI REALMENTE ESCRITO POR MOISÉS
THE PENTATEUCH WAS ACTUALLY WRITTEN BY MOSES
Até pouco tempo atrás, afirmava-se que a invenção do alfabeto teria ocorrido pelos séculos 12 ou 11 a.C., sendo esse argumento apresentado para “provar” que Moisés não podia ter escrito o Pentateuco (os cinco primeiros livros da Bíblia), visto que em seu tempo não haviam ainda inventado a arte de escrever.

No entanto, escavações arqueológicas nas ruínas da cidade de Ur, na antiga Caldeia, têm comprovado que ela era uma metrópole altamente civilizada. However, archaeological excavations in the ruins of Ur, the ancient Chaldean, have proven that it was a highly civilized metropolis. In schools of Ur, the boys learned reading, writing, arithmetic and geography. Three alphabets were discovered: from the Sinai, in Byblos and Ras Shamra, which is well before the time of Moses (1500 BC).
Estudiosos sustentam que Moisés escolheu a escrita fonética para escrever o Pentateuco. O grande arqueólogo William F. Albright datou essa escrita de início do século 15 a.C. (tempo de Moisés).
Scholars argue that Moses chose to write phonetic writing the Pentateuch. The great archaeologist William F. Albright has dated the writing of the early 15th century BC (time of Moses).
Interessante é notar que essa escrita foi encontrada no lugar onde Moisés recebeu a incumbência de escrever seus livros (Êx17:14). Veja o que disse Merryl Unger sobre a escrita do Antigo Testamento: “A coisa importante é que Deus tinha uma língua alfabética simples, pronta para registrar a divina revelação, em vez do difícil e incômodo cuneiforme de Babilônia e Assíria, ou o complexo hieróglifo do Egito”.
