= QUAL A SUA GRANDE ESCOLHA? =

Pesquisando na Internet, achei por acaso (não anotei a página) uma matéria dizendo que a filha do conhecido evangelista Billy Graham estava sendo entrevistada no Early Show e Jane Clayson perguntou a ela: “Como é que DEUS teria permitido algo tão horroroso acontecer, como os atentados terroristas de 11 de setembro de 2001?”

Anne Graham, amados irmãos, deu uma resposta muito profunda e cheia de sapiência, pois disse: “Eu creio que DEUS ficou profundamente triste com o que aconteceu, tanto quanto nós. Por muitos anos nós temos dito para DEUS não interferir em nossas escolhas, sair do nosso governo e sair de nossas vidas. Sendo um cavalheiro como DEUS é, eu creio que Ele calmamente nos deixou. Como poderemos esperar que DEUS nos dê a Sua bênção e Sua proteção se nós exigimos que Ele não se envolva mais conosco?”

É isto, amados irmãos, que Deus pode nos valer, não temos dúvidas, mas é preciso que permitamos a Sua atuação na nossa vida, e por inteiro. Lá no livro do grande profeta e poeta Isaías está escrito que “Deus não está com sua mão encolhida para que não possa salvar”, o que significa dizer que Deus tem a mão estendida em nossa direção, mas se nós não seguramos nela, ficamos fora de grandes bênçãos.

E o mesmo profeta registra que as nossas transgressões nos afastam de Deus. Temos que fazer uma opção, a grande escolha: ou continuamos transgredindo, fazendo coisas que desagradam a Deus, ou fazemos coisas que se harmonizam com o ideal de Deus para nós e, então, nos aproximamos d’Ele para segurarmos nas Suas mãos de poder. Pensemos nisso!

= WHAT'S YOUR GREAT CHOICE? =

Searching the Internet, I found by accident (do not write down the page) an article saying that the daughter of well-known evangelist Billy Graham was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her “How could God let something so horrible happen, as the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001?”

Anne Graham, beloved brothers, has responded very deep and full of wisdom, for he said: “I believe God is deeply saddened by what happened, as we are. For many years we've been telling God to interfere in our choices, out of our government and out of our lives. and being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. how can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone to get involved?”

This, beloved brethren, that God can avail ourselves, we have no doubt, but it takes us to allow their influence on our lives, and in full. There in the book of the great poet and prophet Isaiah is written that “God is not with your hand shortened that it can not save”, which means that God has his hand extended toward us, but if we do not insure it, we're out of great blessings.

And the same prophet writes that our sins separate us from God. We have to make a choice, a great choice: either continue violating, doing things that are displeasing to God, or do things that are in harmony with God's ideal for us and then we come to Him and to hold their hands power. Think about it!
