= VOCÊ É FELIZ? =

Às vezes perguntamos a uma pessoa, um amigo ou mesmo alguém da família: você é feliz?; e tenho constatado que há uma certa hesitação antes da resposta, na maioria dos casos, falando de felicidade, mas deixando transparecer uma incógnita.

Prezados irmãos: a felicidade não é algo que corre ao nosso encontro constantemente, até porque, na maioria das vezes, nós temos que buscá-la, e toda busca, qualquer que seja, exige de nós caminhada, providências, decisão, que não podem ficar por conta de terceiros.

É bem verdade que muitas pessoas têm o dom de nos falar ou nos mostrar alguma coisa, de compartilhar momentos de suas vidas que tocam nossa sensibilidade e nos fazem felizes: mas quando falamos em felicidade, estamos nos referindo a um estado que seja predominante em nossa vida, tomando-a por inteiro e de forma contínua, sem deixar-se abater em face de inevitáveis instantes de adversidade, e tanto isso se afirma que o próprio Senhor Jesus nos afirma que no mundo teremos aflições, mas que é preciso que tenhamos bom ânimo.

E o quais os preceitos que devem nos nortear na busca pela felicidade? A Bíblia Sagrada nos mostra e aqui podemos transmitir aos irmãos alguns: obediência (João 15:10 a 13), ficar na presença do Senhor (Salmo21:6), oração (que é um dos mais poderosos instrumentos de que dispomos) – ore sempre, principalmente quando antevê uma dificuldade, mas ore agradecendo também as bênçãos recebidas, relembrando o que Deus tem feito na sua vida (Salmo 126:3).

É evidente que ocorrem dificuldades na vida de qualquer pessoa, mas é necessário que sejamos firmes, perseverantes, sem retroceder ou desanimar nas situações difíceis: veja o que nos diz em os versículos 5 e 6 do Salmo 126, que falam das promessas de Deus, este Deus que está sempre com as mãos estendidas e os ouvidos atentos.

Procuremos a felicidade entregando a direção de nossa vida a Jesus, e com certeza estaremos permitindo uma intervenção divina nela, para gerir nossos passos, nossas palavras, nossas atitudes, enfim, transformando-a num modelo capaz de nos dar muita alegria e prazer.

= ARE YOU HAPPY? =

Some times we ask a person, a friend or even some one in the family: are you happy?; and I have noticed that there is a hesitation before the answer, in most cases, speaking of happiness, but exuding an unknown.

Dear Brethren: happiness is not something that runs constantly to meet us, because, in most cases, we have to get it, and every search, whatever, requires us to walk, action, decision, they can not stay for third parties.

It is true that many people have the gift to tell us or show us something, to share moments of their lives that touch our sensibilities and make us happy: but when it comes to happiness, we are referring to a state that is dominant in our life, taking it entirely and continuously, not letting ourselves be slaughtered in the face of inevitable moments of adversity, and so it is said that the Lord Jesus himself tells us that the world will have tribulation, but we must have good courage.

And what are the precepts that should guide us in the pursuit of happiness? The Bible shows us here and we can pass on to some brothers: obedience (John 15:10 to 13), stand in the presence of the Lord (Salmo21: 6), prayer (which is one of the most powerful tools available to us) - Always pray especially when one sees difficulty, but pray thanking the blessings, remembering what God has done in his life (Psalm 126:3).

Clearly there are difficulties in the life of anyone, but we need to be firm, steadfast, no rewind or discouraged in difficult situations, discover what tells us in verses 5 and 6 of Psalm 126, speaking of God's promises, this God who is always with outstretched hands and ears.

Seek happiness giving the direction of our life to Jesus, and certainly we will be a divine intervention enabling it to manage our feet, our words, our attitudes, in short, making it a model that can give us much joy and pleasure.
