= O TEMOR DE DEUS =

Para as pessoas que não creem em Deus, temê-Lo é ter medo do julgamento de Deus e da morte eterna, que é separação de Deus para sempre, conforme Lucas 12:5 e Hebreus 10:31, dentre outras citações bíblicas.

Para o crente, temer a Deus é totalmente diferente; sim,o temor do crente é reverência, profundo respeito pelo criador e sustentador do universo e Hebreus 12: 28-29 nos mostra cristalinamente isso, pois a palavra bíblica não deixa dúvida: “Por isso, recebendo nós um reino inabalável, retenhamos a graça, pela qual sirvamos a Deus de modo agradável, com reverência e santo temor, porque o nosso Deus é fogo consumidor”.

Essa reverência e santo temor resumem exatamente o que temer a Deus significa para os que creem em Deus: aí reside o fator que deve nos estimular a uma entrega total ao Senhor.

O TEMOR DE DEUS SE MANIFESTA SOB DOIS ÂNGULOS

1 - TEMOR SAGRADO

- É a consciência de Seu poder e assim aceitamos submissão a Ele e com a certeza de que nunca nos abandonará: este temor propicia a aproximação, a comunhão do ser humano com Deus.

- Gênesis 15 de 1 a 7: Abrahão tinha TEMOR de Deus (Deus diz NÃO TEMAS eu sou o teu escudo, e assegura ao Patriarca que o herdeiro dele seria um filho dele mesmo (Abrahão) e não um servo de sua casa e garantiu que a descendência abrahâmica seria como as estrelas do céu...

- Gênesis 18:27: Abrahão questionando o Senhor antes da destruição das cidades: “eis QUE ME ATREVO A FALAR COM O SENHOR, eu sou pó e cinza”.

- Êxodo 3:1 a 5, Deus apareceu a Moisés (Moises escondeu o rosto TEMENDO olhar para Deus) Deus “NÃO TEMAS, conheço o sofrimento, desci para livrar o povo das mãos dos egípcios”.

- Gênesis 28:15 a 17: Jacó (viajando de Berseba para Harã), deitou para dormir, teve a visão (sonho) da escada e manifestou temor de Deus - “QUÃO TEMÍVEL É ESTE LUGAR, e a casa de Deus, porta dos céus”.  Mas Deus lhe disse: “ESTOU CONTIGO E TE GUARDAREI por ondequer que  fores e não desampararei”.

- Juizes6:22 e 23: o Anjo do Senhor aparece a Gideão e o chama para enfrentar os midianitas. Gideão, com MUITO TEMOR diz “ai de mim, Senhor, pois vi o anjo de Deus face a face”. Deus o interpela, “paz seja contigo, NÃO TEMAS, não morrerás”.

2 - TEMOR MORAL

- É aquele que faz com que fiquemos com vergonha de Deus, e normalmente é ocasionado pelo pecado oupor termos consciência de que não estamos atendendo naquilo que Deus espera de nós.

- Gênesis 3: 9 e 10: Adão fugiu da presença de Deus, e Deus indaga “onde estás?”. A resposta de Adão é de medo: “ouvi a tua voz, TIVE MEDO, e me escondi” (vergonha de Deus apesar de saberque Deus não iria fazer-lhe nenhum mal). Deus amaldiçoou a serpente e não anulou os propósitos estabelecidospara Adão. Se fizermos algo que desagrade a Deus confessarmos, buscando o perdão, Deus nos perdoa e nos faz retornarà postura adequada, e Deus não mudará os propósitos estabelecidos para nós.

- Isaías 6: 3 a 7: Isaias, contemplou Deus e disse para si mesmo “AI DE MIM, ESTOU PERDIDO pois sou homem de lábios impuros” (vergonha de Deus). Mas o que Deus fez? através dos serafins com a tenaz em brasa tocou na boca e qual a palavra de Deus: a tua INIQUIDADE FOI TIRADA E PERDOADOS O TEU PECADO”. Depois disse Deus: ”quem enviarei?”, e Isaias respondeu “eis-me aqui, envia-me a mim”, sem questionar (pra onde, quando, pra que, como ir, por quanto tempo, quais as dificuldades...). Deus nos purifica e nos usa na sua obra.

LIÇÃO PRÁTICA

O TEMOR DE DEUS É A BASE PARA ANDARMOS EM SEUS CAMINHOS, E PARA SERVIRMOS E AMARMOS A ELE. PARA O DESCRENTE, TEMER A DEUS É TEMER O JULGAMENTO DE DEUS E A MORTE ETERNA, QUE É SEPARAÇÃO ETERNA DE DEUS. PARA O CRENTE, TEMER A DEUS É ALGO MUITO DIFERENTE: O TEMOR DO CRENTE É REVERÊNCIA A DEUS, É CERTEZA DE QUE ELE NUNCA NOS DESAMPARA, EM QUALQUER SITUAÇÃO.

= THE FEAR OF GOD =

For people who do not believe in God, fear Him is afraid of the judgments of God and eternal death which is separation from God forever, according to Luke 12:5 and Hebrews 10:31, among other biblical quotations.

THE FEAR OF GOD IS REVEALED IN TWO CORNERS

1 - HOLY FEAR

- It is the consciousness of his power and thus accept submission to Him and with the knowledge that you never abandon us, this approach fosters the fear, the communion of man with God.

- Genesis 15 1-7: Abraham had a fear of God (Allah says NO ISSUES I am thy shield, and ensures the Patriarch that his heir would be his own son (Abraham) and not a servant of his house and promised that Abrahamâ offspring would be like the stars of heaven...

- Genesis 18:27: Abraham questioned the Lord before the destruction of cities, “Behold I dared to speak with him, I am dust and ashes”.

- Exodus 3:1 to 5, God appeared to Moses (Moses hid his face FEAR look to God) God “Do not be afraid, I know the pain I went down to free the people from the Egyptians”.

- Genesis 28:15 to 17: Jacob (traveling from Beersheba to Haran), lay down to sleep, had the vision (dream) of the ladder and expressed fear of God - “How awesome is this place, and the house of God, heavens door”. But God said to him: “I'M WITH YOU and will keep you wherever you go and not forsake them”.

- Judges 6:22 and 23: the Angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon and the Midianites to face the flame. Gideon, with MUCH FEAR says “woe unto me, Lord, for I saw the angel of God face to face”. God questions, “Peace be unto thee, Fear not, thou shalt not die”.

2 - FEAR MORAL

- It is that which causes us to be ashamed of God, and is usually caused by sin or to be aware that we are not given what God expects of us.

- Genesis 3:9 and 10: Adam fled from God, and God asks' where are you. Adam's answer is fear: I heard your voice, I was afraid and hid myself (shame of God despite knowing that God would not do him any harm). God cursed the serpent and upheld the purposes set out to Adam. If you do something that displeases God confessing, seeking forgiveness, God forgives us and makes us return to the proper posture, and God will not change the aims we set for.

- Isaiah 6:3 to 7: Isaiah, God looked and said to himself, “Alas, I'm lost because I am a man of unclean lips” (shame of God). But what God did? through the seraphim with the tongs in his mouth and he touched on what the word of God: your INEQUITY TAKEN And put away your sin. “Then God said, "Whom shall I send?" And Isaiah answered "here am I, send me" without question (to where, when, why, how to go, for how long, what are the difficulties...). God cleanses us and uses in his work.

OBJECT LESSON

THE FEAR OF GOD IS THE BASIS FOR walking in His ways, and to serve is to love Him. For the unbeliever, FEAR FEAR GOD IS A GOD'S JUDGEMENT AND ETERNAL DEATH, WHICH IS ETERNAL SEPARATION FROM GOD. FOR THE BELIEVER, FEARING GOD IS SOMETHING VERY DIFFERENT: The believer's fear is reverence for God, is sure he will NEVER leave us, in any situation.
