= PARABENIZEMOS A CONVENÇÃO BATISTA BRASILEIRA =

O terremoto do Haiti mostrou com bastante clareza a firme disposição da Convenção Batista Brasileira, à qual pertenço e esta Igreja também, de dedicar-se de modo determinado na prestação de assistência social paralelamente à obra de evangelização junto ao povo daquele país.

Tão logo ocorreu o violento terremoto no Haiti, no dia 12/01/10, a Convenção Batista Brasileira foi, acredito, a primeira instituição do gênero a enviar obreiros ao território haitiano para ter um retrato exato da tragédia.

E a exemplo de Sua Excelência Presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, do Brasil (primeiro Chefe de Estado a visitar o Haiti após o tremor de terra), a Convenção Batista Brasileira iniciou providências para, de alguma forma, ajudar ]os haitianos.

Neste mês de fevereiro, já está sendo executado o Projeto POR UM NOVO HAITI, levando esperança aos haitianos, com assistência material, além da espiritual, usando missionários da terra e outros do Brasil que seguiram para lá.

Que Deus esteja abençoando o Haiti, a Convenção e todos que de alguma maneira vêm dando sua parcela de cooperação.

= WE COMMEND THE BRAZILIAN BAPTIST CONVENTION =

The earthquake of Haiti showed very clearly the strong willingness of the Brazilian Baptist Convention, to which I belong and this church, too, to engage in a specific way in providing social assistance in addition to the work of evangelization among the people of that country.

Once there was a terrible earthquake in Haiti, on 12/01/10, the Brazilian Baptist Convention was, I believe, the first institution of its kind to send workers to the Haitian territory to have an accurate picture of the tragedy.

And the example of His Excellency President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva of Brazil (first head of state to visit Haiti after the earthquake), the Brazilian Baptist Convention initiated steps to somehow help Haitians.

In this month of February, is already running the Project ONE NEW HAITI, bringing hope to Haitians, with material assistance, as well as spiritual, using missionaries and other land in Brazil that followed there.

God is blessing the Haiti, the Convention and all that somehow have been giving their share of cooperation.
