João 6:33

João é o Evangelho da Vida. Seu propósito central é levar os leitores à fé em Jesus como o Cristo, filho de Deus, a fim de que, pela fé, obtenham a vida eterna. A palavra mundo, tão característica deste Evangelho, usada repetidas vezes como objeto do amor de Deus e da salvação em Cristo, significa não só o universo criado, mas também as pessoas, todos sem exceção. Jesus Cristo é vida para todas as pessoas, pois ele é o pão (o alimento básico), por ser ele Deus (o pão de Deus) e porque desce do céu, sendo este último aspecto muito enfatizado no ensino de Jesus em todo o capítulo 6 de João.

Sim, Cristo é vida para todos porque, como pão celestial, satisfaz as necessidades mais profundas da alma humana. Porque é de Deus, isto é, divino, com o poder de salvar. Por descer do céu, concretiza aqui na terra, entre nós, o plano eterno de redenção.

Daí o tema de tantas campanhas evangelísticas há anos ao redor do mundo: HÁ VIDA EM JESUS!

John 6:33

John is the Gospel of Life. Its core purpose is to bring the readers to faith in Jesus as the Christ, Son of God, so that, by faith, to obtain eternal life.
