= O REAL SENTIDO DA PREGAÇÃO =

Quando a Dr.ª Esther Ferreira d’Almeida, Diretora Geral da Faculdade Evangélica de Teologia, convidou-me para assumir como Deão Acadêmico e Capelão do Campus de Três Rios (RJ) e, também, para a titularidade da cadeira de Homilética, comecei a preparar planos de aula, para um período de seis meses, nos cursos de Iniciação, Médio e Bacharel em Teologia. Como Pastor, recorri aos resumos de sermões e proferidos nos últimos cinco anos. Estão sendo por demais úteis, especialmente agora quando o tempo para pesquisa fica cada vez mais escasso.

Preocupei-me, de imediato, com três pontos fundamentais: o que é pregação, no seu real sentido; por que o pregador não pode “fabricar” a mensagem e as condições básicas do pregador.

Pregação, prezados leitores de O JORNAL BATISTA, é a comunicação da verdade bíblica. Conceito que pode parecer resumido, reúne definições de vários autores, isso em linguagem de fácil compreensão e que provoque mudança de comportamento nos ouvintes, isto é, alterar a postura do pecador com relação a Deus, levando-o a deixar seus maus caminhos e se voltar para o Criador, aceitando o sacrifício de Jesus Cristo no Calvário como o único e suficiente Salvador. O pecador anda longe do Senhor. Durante a pregação, deve haver o firme propósito de ajudá-lo a mudar o comportamento, isto é, ajudá-lo a se reconciliar com Deus, reconhecendo sua situação da miserabilidade espiritual e buscando o perdão através do sincero arrependimento.

O pregador, prezados leitores, deve centralizar sua mensagem na Bíblia Sagrada. E tão-somente nela, a Palavra de Deus. Se o pregador quer “fabricar” seu sermão corre o risco de proclamar heresias e, por conseguinte, ser um instrumento para escandalizar o Evangelho e não um canal de bênçãos.

Não poderia deixar de abordar as qualidades básicas do pregador: certeza da salvação, desejo inarredável de comunicar a fé cristã, vida irrepreensível e, principalmente, submissão ao Espírito Santo.

Ditas estas coisas, de fácil conclusão que o real sentido da pregação se resume em dois aspectos: sensibilizar o pecador a deixar o caminho da perdição e se voltar para Deus e isso não apenas com as palavras, mas com vida também.

Que todos nós que pregamos possamos refletir profundamente na questão, contactando com a Bíblia todos os dias levando uma vida de santidade e oração.

= THE HURT REALITY OF THE SERMON =

When Dr. Esther Ferreira d'Almeida, Director General of the Evangelical School of Theology, invited me to take over as Academic Dean and Chaplain of the Campus of Three Rivers (RJ), and also the title of chair of Homilética I started to prepare lesson plans, for a period of six months, in courses for Beginner, Medium and Bachelor of Theology. As Pastor, use the summaries of sermons and delivered in the last five years. Are useful too, especially now when the time for research is increasingly scarce.

I am concerned, immediately, with three key points: what is preached in its real sense, that the preacher can not “produce” the message and the basic conditions of the preacher.

Preaching, esteemed readers of The Journal BATISTA is the communication of biblical truth. Concept which may seem short, brings together definitions of various authors, that in language easily understood and causing changes in behavior in the listeners, ie changing the attitude of the sinner in relation to God, leading him to leave their evil ways and is back to the Creator, accepting the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on Calvary as the only and sufficient Savior. The sinner walks away from the Lord. During the preaching, there must be a firm intention to help you change the behavior, ie help you reconcile with God, recognizing their position of spiritual miserably and looking for forgiveness through sincere repentance.

The preacher, esteemed readers, to focus his message on the Holy Bible. And so it is only the Word of God. If the preacher wants to “make” their speech is likely to proclaim heresies, and thus be a shock to the Gospel and not a channel of blessings.

Could not fail to address the basic qualities of the preacher: assurance of salvation, inarredável desire to communicate the Christian faith, blameless life and, especially, submission to the Holy Spirit.

Said these things, the easy conclusion that the real purpose of preaching is summarized in two aspects: raising him to leave the path of ruin and turn to God and this not only with words but also with life.

That we can preach to reflect deeply on the issue, contacting with the Bible every day leading a life of holiness and prayer.
