= E O DÍZIMO, IRMÃO? =

Quando do concilio que me recomendou à consagração, um grande homem de Deus que dele fazia parte, perguntou-me sobre minha opinião a respeito das renovações que têm procurado infiltrar nas nossas Igrejas, e ilustrou comentando sobre as orações pesadas (dizem que é o dom da prece poderosa) que chegam a jogar no chão alguns crentes. Respondi que para mim renovação é, antes de tudo, revisão de vida diante de Deus, uma auto-crítica honesta, que nos leve a repelir coisas até então toleráveis, consideradas por muitos como normais, mas que na verdade prejudicam nossa vida cristã e afetam profundamente nosso bom relacionamento com o Senhor e Salvador Jesus Cristo.

Renovação, acrescentei, se inicia com aperfeiçoamento da vida individual, lapidação cada vez mais perfeita da comunhão com o glorioso Criado, sempre em busca da santificação. E se todos nós agirmos assim, a família cristã será poderosa, a classe da EBD será poderosa, a Igreja do Senhor será poderosa e, sem dúvida alguma, renovada diante de Deus, em condições de impedir as investidas do maligno e provocando alegrias nos céus.

Finalizei dizendo que desconhecia, como ainda desconheço, aqui na região central do Estado do Rio, a ocorrência de caso de irmão cair no chão durante uma oração, pelo menos em igreja autenticamente batista.

Mas quero falar de outra coisa, prezados leitores de O JORNAL BATISTA. Sim, comentar sobre o que contou resumidamente o obreiro, na expectativa de que possamos tirar lições práticas para nós. Disse que numa determinada Igreja (não me recorda a denominação), um irmão sempre que se encontrava com o pastor falava: “Pastor, tive uma visão. Eu agora tenho visões. É um dom. É Deus que conversa comigo”. E sempre levava uma novidade qualquer ao pastor afirmando que tivera uma visão do anjo do Senhor e que mensagem lhe fora transmitida.

O tempo foi passando, passando. Novidades em cima de novidades. É que as “visões” do irmão eram constantes.

Num determinado dia, o pastor ouviu atentamente a prolongada narrativa do irmão e no final disse: E o dizimo, irmão? Como é que fica? O querido irmão não entrega seu dizimo há tempos... O “anjo da visão” ainda não lhe disse que o irmão está em falta? Ainda não lhe disse que é com o dízimo que a Igreja sustenta todos os seus gastos e a obra do Senhor?.

O resultado é que o irmão visionário saiu sem palavras. E o que é mais interessante. Nunca mais teve visões.

Quanto ao dízimo, creio, passou a entregá-lo religiosamente.

= AND THE TITHE, BROTHER? =

When of the council that it recommended to me to the consecration, a God's great man who from him was doing part, it asked about me on my opinion as to the renovations that they have been trying to permeate in our Churches, and it illustrated commenting on the heavy prayers (they say what is the gift of the mighty prayer) that some believers come playing in the ground. I answered that for me renovation is, before all, a revision of life before God, an honest auto-criticism, which takes us repelling things up to that time tolerable, thought by many people I eat normal, but what in fact damage our Christian life and affect deeply our good relationship with the Sir and Salvador Jesus Christ.

Renovation, I added, it always begins with improvement of the individual life, lapidation more and more completed of the communion with the glorious Servant, in search of the sanctification. And if all of us we act so, the Christian family will be mighty, the class of the EBD will be mighty, the Church of the Sir will be mighty and, undoubtedly, renewed before God, in conditions of obstructing the attacks of the malignant one and provoking joys in the skies.

I finished saying what it was not knowing, I eat still do not know, here in the central region of the State of the Rio, the incident of brother's case to fall in the ground during a prayer, at least in authentically Baptist church.

I want to tell them to myself about another thing, esteemed readers of O BAPTIST NEWSPAPER. Yes, to comment on what it counted summarized the worker, in expectation of which we could take away practical lessons for us. He said that in a determined Church (it does not remember to me the denomination), a brother whenever it was meeting with the shepherd was speaking: “Shepherd, I had a vision. I now have visions. It is a Sun. É God who talks with me”. And it was always taking an any novelty to a shepherd affirming what had had a vision of the angel of the Sir and which message had been brought him.

The time was going by, passing. News on top of news. The fact is that the “visions” of the brother were constant.

In a determined day, the shepherd heard attentively the prolonged narrative of the brother and in the end he said: “And the tithe, brother? Is it how that it is? The dear brother does not hand over his tithe there are times... Did not The” angel of the vision “still tell him that the brother feels guilty? Did not he still tell him that it is with the tithe that the Church supports all his expenses and the work of the Sir?”.
