= MOVIDOS PELO ESPÍRITO SANTO =

Temos observado que quando famosos cantores e artistas da vida secular fazem suas apresentações, especialmente em estádios esportivos, a atenção dos fãs e profundamente despertada e a lotação se dá antes mesmo da chegada dos “ídolos”, eis que os ingressos são adquiridos com muitos dias de antecedência. As filas objetivando assegurar uma acomodação mais perto do palco começam dois ou três dias antes. E na desenfreada correria registram-se fatos desagradáveis: uns gritam, outros choram. Há os que se desnudam publicamente e não ficam fora dos noticiários da televisão as ocorrências envolvendo a policia. Não raras vezes algumas pessoas acabam indo parar num leito de hospital ou numa delegacia.

Mas não são apenas os cantores e artistas seculares que se apresentam em praças de esportes. Há muito as denominações evangélicas se utilizam de tais locais para campanhas de evangelização, congressos e tantos eventos importantes. O famoso evangelista Billy Graham já proferiu sermões em muitos estádios, todos superlotados. Se o pastor Nilson Fanini ou o Pastor David Gomes, por exemplo, for anunciado amanhã em são Paulo ou em outra cidade qualquer, o estádio ficara repleto. Entretanto, prezados leitores de O JORNAL BATISTA, seja com o pregador americano ou com qualquer dos nossos líderes evangélicos, não se verificam acontecimentos desagradáveis.

E qual é a diferença? Muito simples. Genericamente, cantores e artistas seculares deixam-se levar pelas manifestações carnais, o mesmo ocorrendo com as pessoas que se acotovelam nos campos de futebol para aplaudi-los. Os pregadores, nacional e internacionalmente reconhecidos são, antes de tudo, homens de Deus, que se deixam mover pelo Espírito Santo. Da mesma forma, impulsionadas pelo Espírito do Senhor, é que multidões se dirigem às praças esportivas, para ouvirem a palavra de Deus, aguçando a sensibilidade para as "coisas que são de cima”.

Continuaremos a dar tão importante lição, para que as concentrações populares, quaisquer que sejam, se não proporcionam aperfeiçoamento espiritual e comunhão com Deus, pelo menos transcorram sem fatos lamentáveis mostrados pela imprensa, especialmente pela televisão.

Similarly, driven by the Spirit of the Lord, is that crowds are aimed at sports centers, to hear the word of God, a keen sensitivity to the “things that are up to”.

We will continue to make important lesson, for which concentrations popular, whatever, if not provide improvement and spiritual communion with God, at least elapsed without unfortunate facts shown by the press, especially on television.
