= PRESERVEMOS NOSSA IDENTIDADE =

Nos dias atuais, cumprindo-se integralmente as profecias de Amós, há manifestações de fome e de sede, não de pão ou de água, mas de alimento que satisfaça aos anseios espirituais, aos desejos da alma, aos conflitos pessoas de natureza interior.

Ocorre, prezados leitores de O JORNAL BATISTA, que com o proliferar de seitas, movimentos, organizadas paralelas às igrejas e “religiões” (entre aspas), as pessoas sedentas e famintas estão desorientadas, e saem tresloucadamente em busca de satisfação espirituais, aqui e ali, muitas levadas pelas reuniões mais atraentes, mais agitadas, com louvores corridos, orações em voz alta e expectativa de que com tais posturas suas insatisfações chegam mais rapidamente à presença de Deus e são sem demora compreendidas e, por conseguintes, as soluções são mais rápidas e, sobretudo, mais eficazes.

Quanto engano! Não é em função da velocidade dos cânticos, do volume das súplicas, da gritaria do pregador, dos gingados de corpo, palmas e muitas palmas, guitarras estridentes, que a Igreja se caracteriza como profundamente espiritual. Não é tal postura que indica que em tais reuniões evidencia-se perfeito o íntimo relacionamento com Deus. Gritarias, sapateados, gingados, palmas, choros, corinhos em ritmo de músicas mundanas não caracterizam o despertamento espiritual de que todos os crentes carecem, para poderem manifestar ousadia diante dos “dias trabalhosos” que a Igreja enfrenta atualmente.

Despertamento espiritual deve começar dentro de cada crente. Na mente, no coração. Despertamento espiritual é rever atitudes, condutas; é fazer, um reexame das relações com Deus. E aperfeiçoar a comunhão com o Senhor. Não é buscar novidades aqui e ali e sim, ao contrário, esquecer dos modernismos e retomar à pura doutrina e sadias práticas da Igreja do Senhor.

Como batistas, não devemos, a pretexto de despertamento, para uns, ou avivamento, para outros, imitar as práticas desta ou daquela denominação. Não devemos copiar e sim buscar o nosso despertamento espiritual no aperfeiçoamento da comunhão com o Senhor, através da oração, da leitura bíblica, colocando a vida totalmente à disposição de Deus e deixando que ele dela disponha e a controle, para sua honra e glória. Se nós, os batistas, começarmos buscar despertamento espiritual do tipo “xerox autenticada” não há dúvida que dentro de pouco tempo perderemos nossa identidade. Então será o caos, pois, copiando aqui e ali sobrará uma mistura, uma espécie de bolo de aniversário, com massa de Seicho-No-Iêe Moonismo, cobertura de Perfect Liberty e enfeites de Hare Krishna, sem contar as ornamentações laterais de Hinduísmo, Teosofia e Meditação Transcendental. As velinhas serão de Confucionimo, Kardecismo, Xintoísmo e até Budismo. E o bolo ficará sobre um tabuleiro, claro: o diabo.

Preservemos nossa identidade, pois só assim estaremos seguros de formarmos a Igreja do Senhor, com doutrina ditada por Deus através de homens inspirados pelo Santo Espírito e que tem uma missão especial no presente: levar a salvação aos perdidos.

Lembremo-nos de que a Igreja do Senhor tem futuro triunfante, vitorioso: será arrebatada para ficar para sempre na eternidade celestial. O bolo vai ser consumido, com tabuleiro e tudo. Reflitamos.

Occurs, esteemed readers of The JOURNAL BATISTA, which proliferate in the sects, movements, organized parallel to the churches and “religious” (in quotes), thirsty and hungry people are disoriented, and out tresloucada in search of spiritual satisfaction, and here there, many taken by the meetings more attractive, more lively, with current praise, prayers aloud and hope that their dissatisfaction with such attitudes come more quickly to the presence of God and are immediately understood and therefore the solutions are more fast and, above all, more effective.

As mistake! Not according to the speed of the songs, the volume of prayer, the preacher of yelling, waddle to the body, palms and many palms, strident guitars, that church is characterized as deeply spiritual. There is such attitude that indicates that in such meetings is perfect highlights the intimate relationship with God. Scream, shoes, ginger, palms, crying, corinhos in mundane rhythm of music not characterize the spiritual awakening that all believers need to be able to express boldly face the “difficult days” that the Church faces today.

Spiritual awakening must begin within each believer. In particular, in the heart. Spiritual awakening is to review attitudes, behaviors, it is done, a review of relations with God. And perfect communion with the Lord. Not get news here and there but, instead, remember and return of the modern doctrine of pure and healthy practices of the Church of the Lord.

As Baptists, we must not, under the pretext of awakening, for some, or fueled, for others, imitating the practices of this or that denomination. We should not copy but get our spiritual awakening in the improvement of communion with the Lord through prayer, reading the Bible, putting the lives totally available to God and leaving it and it has control, to its honor and glory. If we, the Baptists, began seeking spiritual awakening of the “certified xerox” there is no doubt that will soon lose our identity. Then the chaos will therefore copying here and there on a mixture, a kind of birthday cake, with mass of Seichi-No-iee Moonismo, coverage of Perfect Liberty and decorations of Hare Krishna, not to the lateral ornamentation of Hinduism, Teosofia and Transcendental Meditation. Preserve our identity, because only then will we secure the form of the Lord Church in doctrine dictated by God through men inspired by the Holy Spirit and has a special mission in this: bring salvation to lost.

Let us remember that the Church of the Lord has a future triumphant, victorious: it will be snatched to heaven in eternity forever. The cake will be consumed, with board and everything. Reflect.
