= PAREMOS O SOL E A LUA! =

No capítulo 10 do livro de Josué, nos versículos 12 a 15, está registrado um dos muitos episódios vividos pelo sucessor de Moisés, na peregrinação do povo de Deus, em direção à Terra da Promissão. O relato nos diz que “o sol se deteve e a lua parou”. Um acontecimento, prezados leitores, que os sábios tentam explicar cientificamente, mas sem êxito, até agora.

Após uma leitura cuidadosa do texto, formulamos para nós mesmos uma indagação: Pode o sol se deter e a lua parar diante de nós? O texto nos revela um fenômeno extraordinário. Estamos diante de um milagre, mais exatamente a resposta de Deus à oração de Josué, a fim de que pudesse sair-se bem em luta que se empenhara com inimigos. Afirmar que o fato é cientificamente impossível é presumir, erroneamente, que compreendemos todos os segredos da natureza - absurda proposição. Quantos fenômenos naturais ainda são desconhecidos da humanidade, apesar do crescimento vertiginoso da ciência? Mas o milagre se deu. Resultado da confiança e da fé de Josué, que sentiu a necessidade daquela circunstância completamente nova, com vistas à salvação de seu povo. Deus ouviu a oração de Josué: “o sol se deteve e a lua parou”.

Quanto à pergunta, prezados leitores, respondemos afirmativamente. Hoje há premente necessidade de o homem se aproximar de Deus. A humanidade vem praticando toda sorte de iniqüidades e seu caminho está escuro, envolvido pelas trevas do pecado. Há que se reconhecer esta terrível situação e rogar a misericórdia divina, para que o sol se detenha e a lua pare, a fim de que o caminho fique continuamente claro, permitindo um caminhar seguro. A oração é imediatamente atendida: Jesus Cristo é a luz do mundo (Jô 8.12). Ilumina qualquer caminho, ilumina toda a terra, da mesma forma que o sol e a lua juntos, parados, clareiam todo o globo. Mas a luz que Jesus Cristo irradia é mais poderosa do que toda a claridade que o sol e a lua, juntos, podem nos oferecer, Jesus Cristo é a luz da vida e quem tem está luz nunca andará em trevas.

Aceitar Jesus Cristo nos corações é garantir luz permanente diante de seus passos, sem perigo de quaisquer nebulosidades, o que pode ocorrer com a claridade do sol, da lua e demais luminares no infinito universo, quando as nuvens se tornam espessas.

= STOP THE SUN AND THE MOON! =

In Chapter 10 the book of Joshua in verses 12 to 15, is one of many recorded episodes experienced by the successor of Moses, in the pilgrimage of the people of God, toward the Earth Promissão. The report says that “stopped the sun and moon are stopped”. An event, esteemed readers, that the wise try to explain scientifically, but without success so far.

After a careful reading of the text, to make ourselves a question: Can the sun and moon to stop it before us? The text shows us an extraordinary phenomenon. This is a miracle, more exactly the response of God to the prayer of Joshua, so that could succeed in that fight is fought with enemies. Confirming the fact that it is scientifically impossible to assume, erroneously, that we understand all the secrets of nature - absurd proposition. How many natural phenomena are still unknown to mankind, despite the dizzying growth of science? But the miracle happened. Result of trust and faith of Joshua, who felt the need of that fact completely new, with views to the salvation of his people. God heard the prayer of Joshua: “the sun and moon are held stopped”.

As for the question, dear readers, responded affirmatively. Today there is urgent need for the man is closer to God. Humanity is doing all sorts of inequities and their path is dark, surrounded by the darkness of sin. We recognize that this terrible situation and implore the divine mercy, so that it holds the sun and moon seem to be that way continually clear, allowing for safe walking. The prayer is answered immediately: Jesus Christ is the light of the world (Jô 8.12). Lights any way, illuminates the whole earth, just as the sun and moon together, still, clear across the globe. But the light that radiates Jesus Christ is more powerful than any light that the sun and moon, together, can offer us, Jesus Christ is the light of life is light and who have never walk in darkness.

Accepting Jesus Christ in their hearts is to ensure permanent light in front of his steps, without any danger of cloudiness, which can occur with the brightness of the sun, moon and other luminaries in the infinite universe, when the clouds become thick.
