= DUPLA PERSONALIDADE =

A reportagem está na edição de O Globo, que circulou 23.05.89. Na religião norte fluminense, um caso de dupla personalidade. Nunca cidade, o homem era executivo, com imagem alinhada, sapato social mala do tipo 007, sem que fosse notada sua perna mecânica. Em outro município, o mesmo homem, mas de muletas, chinelo, calça surrada, trasformava-se em um mendigo, pelo menos das vezes por semana, à cata de algumas esmolas.

Até que alguém desconfiasse, tal situação permaneceu por muito tempo.

Estou trazendo tal episódio apenas para dizer que algo bem parecido tem acontecido com alguns crentes, que em determinados dias da semana, por ocasião dos trabalhas da Igreja, têm uma imagem. Apresenta-se com falar comedida, ar tranqüilo, linguajar cuidadoso e sobretudo aparência de quem procura dar o melhor testemunho cristão. Manifestam-se compreensivos, amáveis, cordiais com os irmãos e demonstram paciência diante de situações que a exigem. Nos demais dias, fora do âmbito do templo, longe dos irmãos, são incapazes de serem reconhecidos como crentes. Não têm comedimento no falar e a intranquilidade é tônica em suas ações. Sua linguagem é totalmente incompatível com a de um servo de Deus. Seu testemunho não é dos melhores e nem sempre são reconhecidos como crentes sem que tenham que dizer. Não cultivam o agradável hábito de cumprimentar as pessoas e, até isso, vivem de cara amarrada, não demonstrando a mínima dose de paciência nem mesmo com filhos, esposa e parentes.

O que o jornal O Globo publicou, sem duvida, é um caso de dupla personalidade. Dois homens completamente diferentes, num só. E os crentes que na Igreja têm uma postura e fora dela outra também são exemplos de dupla personalidade. Ocorre, prezados leitores, que o crente, que realmente tenha nascido de novo, não pode ter dois comportamentos, de salvo e de perdido. O crente autêntico não pode agradar a Deus e ao diabo.

Analisemos-nos. Procuremos ter um comportamento só: o de membros da família do Senhor.

They are understanding, kind, friendly with the brothers and show patience in the face of situations that call. In other days, outside the temple, away from siblings, are incapable of being recognized as believers. Have no restraint in speech and tone is disquiet in their actions. Their language is totally incompatible with that of a servant of God. His testimony is not the best and are not always recognized as believers without having to say. Do not cultivate the habit of pleasant greet people and even so, to live frowned, not showing the least amount of patience even with children, wife and relatives.

What the newspaper O Globo published, without doubt, is a case of double personality. Two completely different men, in one. And the believers who have a position in the church and elsewhere are also other examples of dual personality. There, dear readers, that the believer, who really was born again, can not have two attitudes, and save the lost. The true believer can not please God and the devil.

Look at us. Try to have only one behavior: the family members of the Lord.
