= GRAÇA DOS HOMENS E GRAÇA DE DEUS =

Claro está na Constituição Federal, mais exatamente no artigo 84, inciso XII, que o Presidente da República tem competência para comutar penas, isto é, colocar em liberdade algumas pessoas condenadas por ilicitudes. È umas das formas de extinções punibilidade.

Mas se a graça concedida pelo mandatário maior da nação é restrita a determinadas pessoas, contrasta em muito com a graça de Deus. Esta alcança a todos, sem distinção, atua no plano espiritual também e é uma graça para a vida eterna. Aquela situa-se no plano exclusivamente material e é para uma vida passageira.

A graça do Senhor, prezado leitores, é universal. Em Efésios 2.8-9 lemos que a salvação é pela graça do Senhor; não é decorrente de qualquer esforço, de qualquer mérito pessoal. É distribuída em decorrência da fé.

Spurgeon, entretanto, nos exorta no sentido de que o despertamento dos pecadores e o perdão de suas iniqüidades são conseqüências da compaixão de Deus e, por isso, devemos nos lembrar sempre de tal aspecto, para que não caiamos no erro de fixar a nossa mente com demasia na fé, eis que esta é tão somente o canal da salvação. A graça de deus – ressalta - é a fonte e a causa até mesmo da fé. Spurgeon define fé como “obra da graça de Deus em nós” (Tudo pela Graça, Casa Publicadora Batista, 1944).

Depositemos nossa fé em cristo, reconhecendo como único e definitivo seu sacrifício no Calvário, para que sejamos alcançados pela graça de Deus.

Se você, prezado leitor, sente-se aprisionado pelo pecado, volte-se para Deus cuja infinita graça é capaz de colocá-lo em liberdade e, mais que isso, impedir que sua alma pereça.

= GRACE OF THE MEN AND GOD’S GRACE =

Spurgeon, however, encourages us that the awakening of sinners and forgiveness of their iniquities are consequences of the compassion of God and therefore we must always remember in this respect, to not let us fall into the mistake of setting our minds with too much on faith, here it is only the path of salvation. The grace of God - says - is the source and cause even of faith. Spurgeon defines faith as “work of God’s grace in us” (All by Grace, Baptist publishing house, 1944).

We have our faith in Christ, and recognizing its unique and definitive sacrifice on Calvary, to be achieved by the grace of God.

If you, dear reader, feel trapped by sin, to turn to God whose infinite grace is able to put it in freedom and, more importantly, prevent them from your soul perish.
