= ORAI SEM CESSAR =

A Bíblia Sagrada diz que devemos orar continuamente, isto é, sem parar, conforme se conclui facilmente das palavras do Apóstolo Paulo aos crentes de Tessalônica (1Ts 5.17).

Mas muitos podem imaginar que o cumprimento de tal recomendação, feita pelo proclamador do evangelho que o mundo conheceu, torna, se impossível, já que é impraticável que uma oração só tenha começo e se transforme numa prece sem.

Não há nenhuma dificuldade no cumprimento de tão oportuna exortação. Orar sem cessar, prezados leitores, significa que a conversa com o nosso glorioso Deus seja freqüente. Significa que deve ocupar lugar em nossas agendas. A oração deve ser tão importante quanto uma entrevista à imprensa; uma reunião de trabalho; a troca de um carro; o conserto do telefone; a compra da bicicleta; a marcação da consulta, enfim, deve a oração ser tão importante quanto a marcação do ponto, o que ocorre, em regra, quatro vezes ao dia, no mínimo.

Quantas vezes temos um problema, oramos e somos atendidos! As orações de agradecimento se sucedem. Dobramos nossos joelhos. Alegramo-nos. Louvamos ao Senhor e nossa fé fica mais fortalecida.

Mas, e quando estamos bem tudo correndo às mil maravilhas, meses seguidos? Temos orado todos os dias para agradecer a Deus tamanha bênção? Temos procurado, na bonança, fortalecer a nossa fé ou temos nos esquecido de Deus, lembrando-nos dele apenas na tempestade?

Orar sem cessar não é pedir, por nós ou interceder por outros nos momentos de dificuldade. Orar sem cessar é manter íntima comunhão com Deus, constantemente, reconhecendo a presença de sua mão poderosa, evitando ou minimizando problemas que poderiam conturbar nossa vida.

Será que oramos quando terminamos uma viagem sem acidentes, ou só quando percebemos a colisão, o motorista do ônibus ziguezagueia e nada acontece?

= PRAY WITHOUT CEASING =

The Holy Bible says we should pray continually, that is, without stopping, as we conclude easily the words of the Apostle Paul to the believers of Thessalonica (1Ts 5.17).

But many may think that compliance with this recommendation, made by the trumpeter of the gospel that the world knew, it, is impossible, since it is impractical to have a prayer just beginning and becomes a prayer without.

There is no difficulty in complying with such timely exhortation. Pray without ceasing, dear readers, means that the conversation with our glorious God is frequent. Means that must take place in our agendas. Prayer should be as important as an interview to the press, a working meeting, the exchange of a car, the repair of the phone, the purchase of the bicycle, the marking of the consultation, finally, the prayer should be as important as marking the point, which occurs, usually four times a day at least.

How many times have a problem, we pray and we met! The prayers of thanks come. Doubled our knees. Pleased us. We praise the Lord and our faith becomes stronger.

But, when we are all running swimmingly, months followed? We prayed every day to thank God for such blessings? We have tried in peace, strengthen our faith or we have forgotten of God, reminding us of it only in the storm?

Pray without ceasing is not asking for us or intercede for others in times of difficulty. Pray without ceasing is to intimate communion with God, constantly acknowledging the presence of his powerful hand, avoiding or minimizing problems that could CONTURBAR life.

Do we pray when you finish a trip without an accident, or only when we realize the collision, the driver of the bus zigzag and nothing happens?
