= O PODER DA ORAÇÃO =

Nos inúmeros contatos que temos feito, com pessoas incrédulas e até mesmo com evangélicos, verificamos, com certa freqüencia, uma insegurança em suas relações com o nosso glorioso Deus. Observamos que se manifesta uma certa inquietação, no que diz respeito à resposta de Deus às orações

As Escrituras Sagradas são suficientemente claras no conhecido trecho “ensina-nos a orar”. E Jesus Cristo mostrou, em rápidas palavras, que os fatos em torno de nós, para os quais buscamos solução, não se desenrolam segundo o nosso desejo: “seja feita a tua vontade...”

Não temos a menor dúvida de que a oração é um dos mais poderosos ferramentais de que os crentes dispõem, não apenas para a solução dos problemas do dia-a-dia de cada um, mas também para o êxito da proclamação do evangelho de Cristo. Há, entretanto, que se buscar os ensinos sagrados, pois que orar não é apenas pedir e aguardar a resposta, imediata e que atenda aos nossos interesses, muito especialmente interesses de ordem material.

Trazemos à consideração o Salmo 86. Não é uma simples oração. Davi implora ardentemente (fazemos questão de grifar estas duas palavras) o socorro de Deus. Será que temos orado tal como o salmista? No versículo primeiro está estampada a súplica de Davi. No segundo, a confiança. No versículo quinto há o reconhecimento da autoridade de Deus. No versículo sétimo, está bem clara a convicção de que Deus realmente pode ouvir e dar resposta aos nossos clamores.

Um dos aspectos de real importância, nem sempre observado nos momentos de conversa com o nosso glorioso Deus, está no versículo décimo primeiro: é a humildade. Imperioso que mantenhamos uma atitude de constante humildade em nossos momentos de oração. Pois se reconhecemos que Deus, de suprema misericórdia, nos legou seu filho Jesus Cristo, para, mediante a obra do Calvário, garantir a salvação de nossas almas, devemos reconhecer, igualmente, o seu infinito poder e glória. Nós, frágeis que somos, devemos nos colocar em atitude de profunda humildade, quando precisamos falar com Deus “cheio de compaixão, e piedoso, sofredor e grande em benignidade e em verdade”, conforme está escrito no antepenúltimo versículo do Salmo 86.

Nossa oração chegará ao trono celestial se manifestarmos a nossa confiança, se reconhecermos convictamente que Deus pode nos ouvir, se reconhecermos a autoridade divina e, sobretudo, se nos fizermos humildes, ao ponto de adquirirmos sensibilidade suficiente para entender que a resposta de Deus se condiciona à sua vontade.

= THE POWER OF PRAYER =

In that we have made numerous contacts with people with disbelief and even gospel show, with some frequency, an insecurity in their relationships with our glorious God. We see that presents a concern, regarding the response to the prayers of God

The Holy Scriptures are sufficiently clear in the famous words “teach us to pray.” And Jesus Christ showed in rapid words, that the facts around us, for which we seek solutions, not take place according to our desire: “your will be done...”

We have no doubt that prayer is one of the most powerful tools that the believers have not only to solve the problems of day-to-day for each, but also to the success of the proclamation of the gospel of Christ. There are, however, who seek the sacred teachings, since prayer is not only ask and wait the answer, immediately and that meet our interests, especially interests of a material.

Bring to account the Psalm 86. There is a simple prayer. David begs passionately (we are keen to Highlight these words) the victory of God. Do we have prayed as the psalmist? In the first verse is printed the prayer of David. In the second, trust. In the fifth verse is the recognition of the authority of God. In the seventh verse, is the clear conviction that God can actually hear and respond to our cries.

One of the aspects of real importance, not always observed in moments of conversation with our glorious God is in the eleventh verse: it is humility. Imperative that we maintain a constant attitude of humility in our moments of prayer. Because if we recognize that God, the supreme mercy, the left son Jesus Christ, for, through the work of Calvary, to ensure the salvation of our souls, we must recognize, also, his infinite power and glory. We, fragile, we must ask ourselves in an attitude of deep humility when we talk to God full of compassion and gracious, patient and great in mercy and in truth “as it says in the penultimate verse of Psalm 86.

Our prayers reach the heavenly throne is to express our confidence, if accepted conviction that God can hear us, if we recognize the divine authority, especially if done in humility, as to gain enough sensitivity to understand that the answer of God is conditional to their will.
