= O CENSO DA SALVAÇÃO =

No censo do ano passado, cujos resultados preliminares já foram divulgados nos principais jornais do país, um aspecto emerge com bastante clareza. A população do Brasil, superior a 146 milhões de pessoas, está dividida em grupos sociais, os mais diversificados e guardando íntima relação com as peculiaridades de suas regiões geográficas.

São grupos diferenciados por idade, sexo, profissão, nível cultural, religião etc. São muitos, realmente, segundo a ótica da contagem oficial. Mas, na verdade, definindo os destinos do povo, muito especialmente no que diz respeito á vida espiritual, só existem dois grupos. Em 1JOÃO 5.12, as Sagradas Escrituras não deixam a menor dúvida. São dois grupos, repetimos: os salvos e os perdidos. E tal aspecto o censo não revela, pois que não está na esfera de atribuição do recenseador verificar quem já aceitou a Jesus Cristo como Salvador pessoal e quem insite em rejeitá-lo. Como Redentor e Senhor.

E o censo destinado a identificar os dois grupos é missão imposta a todos nós, os crentes: “Ide por todo o mundo, e pregai o evangelho a toda criatura” (Mc 16.15). Se nossa participação na nobre tarefa delegada pelo Divino Mestre for intensa e efetiva, no mesmo molde de atuação dos recenseadores governamentais, veremos aumentar o número de pessoas no grupo dos salvos e, consequentemente, diminuir no grupo dos perdidos.

E, ao final de cada década, o resultado do “Censo da Salvação” mostrará um número sempre maior de pessoas no grupo dos remidos, até que tal contagem se torne desnecessária, eis que haverá tão-somente um grupo, vestido com roupas lavadas de sangue do Cordeiro. Um grupo feliz, pois “bem-aventurada é a nação cujo Deus e o Senhor...” (Sl 33.12).

Comecemos o “Censo da Salvação” pela rua onde moramos.

= THE CENSE OF SALVATION =

In last year's census, whose results were published in major newspapers of the country, one thing emerges quite clearly. Brazil's population of more than 146 million people, is divided into social groups, the most diversified and keep a close relationship with the peculiarities of its geographical regions.

Groups are differentiated by age, sex, profession, cultural level, religion etc.. Many, indeed, in the view of official count. But, in fact, defining the destinies of the people, especially in regard to spiritual life, there are only two groups. In 1JOÃO 5:12, the Scriptures do not leave the slightest doubt. Two groups, repeat: the saved and lost. And this aspect is not the census, because that is not in the area of allocation of the census to determine who has accepted Jesus Christ as personal Savior and who reject it in InSite. As Redeemer and Lord.

And the census to identify the two groups is imposed mission to all of us, the believers: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mk 16:15). If our participation in the noble task delegated by the Divine Master is intense and effective, in the same order of activity of the surveyed organizations, we increase the number of people in the group of saved, and consequently decrease in the group lost.

At the end of each decade, the result of the “Census of Salvation” will show an ever greater number of people in the group of the redeemed, until it becomes unnecessary counting, he will be only one group, dressed in clothes washed in blood of the Lamb. A happy group, because “the Blessed the nation whose God is the Lord...” (Ps 33.12).

Let the “Census of Salvation” by the street where we live.
