= MARAJÁS? ONDE?... =

Está de parabéns o consagrado Pr. Eli Bento Corrêa, por seu oportuno artigo Marajás na denominação, ocasião em que, com poucas e conclusivas palavras, mostrou que são destituídos de fundamento quaisquer comentários de que há “marajás” (salários astronômicos) no seio dos pastores e cargos remunerados de nossas igrejas ou nas lideranças administrativas denominacionais.

Para reafirmar o que foi dito pelo Pr. Eli, coloco meu testemunho diante dos leitores de O JORNAL BATISTA. Conheço um obreiro, com mais de 40 anos de ministério que, todos os meses, devolve à igreja 3/10 de sua remuneração (estatutária) como pastor, apesar de ganhar como qualquer funcionário a nível de gerência de empresa de médio porte. Deixo de citar seu nome, por desnecessário, mas aqui está um exemplo exatamente o inverso. Em vez de pedir aumento, para se tornar um “marajá”, reduz livremente seus vencimentos, para tornar-se humilde súdito. Isto porque é mais gratificante ser servo, no Reino de Deus, do que ser soberano, no mundo. Só na atividade secular encontram-se salários astronômicos e qualquer de nossos pastores está apto a desempenhar função fora do ministério que lhe garanta invejáveis vencimentos. Ocorre que os obreiros batistas, fiéis ao chamado de Deus, não estão trocando o ministério pelas oportunidades que se abrem, todos os dias, principalmente no setor empresarial, e procuram levar uma vida dentro do padrão econômico-financeiro permitido pelo Senhor, colocando como prioridade a proclamação do evangelho de Cristo, para que almas encontrem o caminho da salvação.

“Marajá”? Onde? Em qualquer outro lugar, menos na denominação batista, cujos obreiros, antes de pensarem em si mesmos, desenvolvem grande esforço para que a causa do Senhor, principalmente nos campos missionários, seja dotada de recursos que lhe garantam um caminhar de passos largos, sem ininterrupção.

Congratulations is in the set Pr Eli Bento Corrêa, for your timely article Maharajas in the name, when it, with few words and conclusive, indicated that are devoid of any basis for comments that “Maharajas” (astronomical wages) within the pastors and paid positions in our churches and in denominational administrative leadership.

To reiterate what was said by Pr Eli, put my testimony in front of the readers of The Journal BATISTA. I know a worker with more than 40 years of ministry that every month, returns to the church 3 / 10 of your pay (statutory) as pastor, in spite of winning as any employee at the management company of medium size. I quote your name, by need, but here is an example exactly the opposite. Instead of asking for an increase, to become a “grafter”, freely reduces their salaries, to become humble vassal. This is because it is more gratifying is servant in the Kingdom of God, to be sovereign in the world. Only in secular activities, are astronomical wages and any of our pastors are able to carry out function of the ministry to attain enviable salaries. It occurs that the workers Baptists, faithful to God's call, not by changing the ministry opportunities arising every day, mainly in the business sector, and seek to a life within the standard economic and financial permitted by the Lord, placing a priority the proclamation of the gospel of Christ, that souls are the way of salvation.

“Marajó? Where? Elsewhere, except in the Baptist denomination, whose workers, before thinking to themselves, has made great efforts to the cause of the Lord, especially in fields missionaries, is endowed with resources which guarantee a long walk of steps without ininterrupção.
