= EXEMPLO PARA TODOS NÓS =

Como assinante de O JORNAL BATISTA e leitor assíduo do querido Pr. Nilson Dimarzio, lembro-me de seu enfoque, no Editorial do dia 10.03.91, sob o título “A Bíblia desprezada”. Yolanda Pereira, a gaúcha que em 1930 venceu o Concurso de Miss Universo, no Rio de Janeiro, recebeu da União de Mocidade da Igreja Batista de Pelotas, um exemplar das Escrituras Sagradas; entretanto, durante os 33 anos que o Livro dos livros esteve em seu poder não o manuseou.

Agora, numa entrevista publicada no Jornal do Brasil, edição de 23.03.91, Marta Rocha, Miss Brasil e segundo lugar no Concurso de Miss Universo no mesmo ano, afirmou aos repórteres que a Bíblia é o seu livro de cabeceira. Depois de manifestar suas preferências por várias coisas, como perfumes, pratos, roupas, calçados, jóias etc., Marta Rocha disse que Deus é o seu conselheiro.

Histórias bem parecidas, envolvendo personagens e circunstâncias semelhantes. Ao contrário de Yolanda Pereira, Marta Rocha lê a Bíblia e, mais que isso, busca o glorioso Criador nos momentos de dificuldade ou quando os problemas estão a exigir soluções.

Mas, qual a lição das duas narrativas? Na primeira o crente não deve mirar-se. Na segunda, sim. E inadmissível que uma pessoa que aceita a Cristo como seu Salvador não faça da Palavra de Deus seu livro de cabeceira e não busque primeiramente ao Senhor quando necessita de conselhos para a solução das dificuldades diárias.

As narrativas são bem parecidas, mas emerge uma diferença fundamental. Ambas as personagens projetaram-se pela beleza física e cuidados especiais para com o corpo, entretanto, pelas revelações de Marta Rocha à imprensa, vê-se que ela se preocupa também com as coisas da alma, ao posicionar a Bíblia como sua leitura principal.

Não sei qual a denominação a que pertence Marta Rocha, mas, se não é evangélica, transmitiu através da entrevista uma postura digna de ser imitada por muitos crentes, que nem sempre fazem da Bíblia sua leitura principal e diante de situações difíceis, só buscam a Deus em oração quando falham métodos outros, muitos até estranhos à prática cristã.

Espero que Marta Rocha continue com a Bíblia em sua cabeceira e apreciaria saber se já adquiriu a convicção de que só Jesus Cristo salva.

As a subscriber to The Official BATISTA and assiduous reader of Pr Nilson Dimarzio dear, I remember your focus in the editorial of the day 10.03.91, under the title The Bible neglected. Yolanda Pereira, the gaúcha that in 1930 won the Miss Universe Competition in Rio de Janeiro, received the Youth Union of the Baptist Church of Pelotas, a copy of the Holy Scriptures, but during the 33 years since the book was in the books their power not handled.

Now, in an interview published in Journal of Brazil, edition of 23.03.91, Marta Rocha, Miss Brazil and second in the Miss Universe that same year, he said to reporters that the Bible is the head of his book. After expressing their preferences for various things such as perfumes, dishes, clothes, shoes, jewelry etc., Marta Rocha said that God is their adviser.

And similar stories, involving characters and circumstances. Unlike Yolanda Pereira, Marta Rocha read the Bible and, more importantly, search the glorious Creator in times of difficulty or when problems are demanding solutions.

But what the lesson of the two narratives? At first the believer should not look up. In the second, yes. It is unacceptable that a person accepting Christ as their Savior do not make the Word of God in his book head and not look first to the Lord when you need advice for the solution of everyday problems.

The narratives are quite similar, but a key difference emerges. Both characters designed by the physical beauty and care for the body, however, by revelations in the press Marta Rocha, sees that it is concerned also with the things of the soul, the place the Bible as their primary reading.

I do not know what the name of which Marta Rocha, but it is not gospel, sent through an interview to be dignified posture imitated by many believers, who do not always make the principal and reading his Bible in front of difficult situations, only to seek God in prayer when other methods fail, many outsiders to the Christian practice.

I hope that Marta Rocha continue with the Bible in your head and assess whether it has already acquired the conviction that only Jesus Christ saves.
