COLUMN TO VOICE OF A SHEPHERD

 

= ATRAVESSEMOS OS RIOS =

Alegra-nos trazer aos amados irmãos, através do Boas Novas, mesmo que resumidamente, palavras que proferimos em um dos cultos da Missão Batista de Itaipava, com a qual tivemos a honra e o privilégio de colaborar e, aliás, contando com a presença do Pastor Dr. Edelto entre os que prestigiavam a Missão na oportunidade.

Examinando o texto de Gênesis 12 (os seis primeiros versículos) verificamos que Deus deu algumas instruções a Abraão e, também, assegurou-lhe muitas bênçãos. Para que o patriarca fosse alcançado pelas bênçãos era preciso adotar três posturas. Primeiramente, prezados irmãos, OBEDECER. Sim, era preciso acatar o Mandamento Divino: “Sai da tua terra, da tua parentela, e da casa de teu pai, para a terra que eu te mostrarei”. Era preciso, também. DESCER. Não apenas descer literalmente, eis que Harã ficava para cima (Norte-Oriental) com relação a Siquém (Sul-Ocidental), mas descer de sua posição social, de proprietário estabelecido para a de peregrino e submisso às dificuldades inevitáveis das caminhadas naquele tempo. Finalmente teria que atravessar dois rios, o Eufrates e o Jordão, como realmente atravessou, o que nos transmite uma mensagem: Abraão venceu as dificuldades!

Traçando um paralelo cumpre-nos dizer que Deus nos dá instruções. Temos que estar sempre sensíveis e ouvir a voz do Senhor, temos que obedecer.p Precisamos também descer. Descer do nosso orgulho, do nosso egoísmo, da nossa incredulidade, do nosso desânimo, da acomodação, da falta de fé.

Precisamos, amados irmãos, “atravessar os rios”, isto é, “vencer as dificuldades”. Não podemos recuar se as coisas começarem a acenar com este ou aquele obstáculo diante de nós atrapalhando a nossa caminhada, tornando mais penoso o cumprimento de algum compromisso que tenhamos assumido, seja no âmbito da Igreja ou nos diversos segmentos das atividades seculares.

Às vezes nos dispomos a obedecer e a não medir esforços para transpor as dificuldades, mas esbarramos no DESCER. Realmente o verbo DESCER tem uma conotação que desestimula. Mas precisamos utilizá-lo em um contexto mais amplo. Moisés subiu ao Sinai, mas foi ao descer que pôde transmitir instruções de Deus e abençoar o povo. Zaqueu teve que descer da árvore para que Cristo entrasse em sua casa. O próprio Cristo subiu ao Calvário, onde foi crucificado, mas foi depois de sua descida que se consumou a ressurreição.

Obedeçamos a Deus, desçamos de nossa autoconfiança e, sem dúvida alguma venceremos todas as dificuldades e seremos ricamente abençoados, especialmente em nossa vida cristã. Reflitamos.

Examining the text of Genesis 12 (the first six verses) we see that God gave some instructions to Abraham, and also assured him many blessings. Yes, we had to obey the Divine Commandment: “Get out of your country, your kin, and the house of your father, to the land I will show you.” Was needed, too. LOWER. Mapping a parallel meet-told us that God gives us instructions. We must always be sensitive and listen to the voice of the Lord, that we also need meet down. Down of our pride, our selfishness, our disbelief in our dismay, the accommodation, the lack of faith.

We loved brothers, “cross the river”, i. e. “overcome the difficulties.” We can not retreat if things begin to shake with this or that obstacle before we resort to our journey, making it more difficult to comply with any commitment we have made is within the Church or in the various segments of secular activity.

Sometimes we have to obey and do not measure efforts to overcome the difficulties, but collided with desc. Actually Lower the verb has a connotation that discourages. But we use it in a broader context. Moses went to Sinai, but was able to pass down to the instructions of God and bless the people. Zacchaeus had to descend the tree to which Christ came into your home. Christ himself came to Calvary, where he was crucified, but after his fall that consummated the resurrection.

Obey Allah, and fall of our self, no doubt overcome all difficulties and will be richly blessed, especially in our Christian life. Reflect.
