= O EVANGELHO DE JUDAS =

Tem causado grande repercussão mundial e ocupado generosos espaços na imprensa escrita de todos os países, a tradução de um conjunto de papiros bem conservados, que recebeu o nome de “O evangelho de Judas”.

Pelo conteúdo dos papiros, Judas não teria traído Jesus, e seria um destacado apóstolo, com prévias orientações do Divino Mestre, para entregá-Lo aos romanos.

Os principais órgãos de imprensa do mundo, com ênfase para a National Geographic Society, que mantém uma respeitada emissora de televisão, afirmam que tudo isso contraria vinte séculos de ensinamentos da Igreja, eis que imaginar que Jesus queria ser morto não fazia parte da cultura judaica, de cujo cenário o próprio Senhor fazia parte.

Todos os teólogos não discutem a autenticidade dos papiros, entretanto, se todos podem assegurar que foram escritos no ano 300 d.C., não podem assegurar que seu conteúdo reflete a verdade dos fatos.

Mas vamos admitir que o conteúdo seja verdadeiro. Não cremos que possa alterar convicções mais profundas, sobre nossas crenças quanto às doutrinas do Cristianismo, como anuncia com veemência a National Geographic, pois não trata da questão fundamental, que é a salvação pela graça através do sacrifício de Jesus Cristo na cruz do calvário, a redenção pelo sangue, uma verdade absoluta, que reflete o mais sublime ideal de Deus: que toda a humanidade possa viver eternamente na sua santa presença, ao findar o labor desta viela material.

Assim, vê-se com clareza que o anunciado Evangelho de Judas não vem afetar em nada o tema central das Escrituras Sagradas, que do Gênesis ao Apocalipse enfocam a redenção. Aliás, a própria Bíblia é cristalina quando diz que a palavra de Deus é a mesma ontem, hoje e amanhã, portanto imutável.
