COLUMN TO VOICE OF A SHEPHERD

 

= DEZ ANOS DE BÊNÇÃOS =

No dia 19 de março foi realizado na Segunda Igreja Batista de Carmo o Culto de Ação de Graças, comemorativo dos meus dez anos de liderança naquela Igreja. São dez anos de lutas, mas de muitas vitórias, todas com as valiosas ajudas dos irmãos. É de se ressaltar que quando assumi o Ministério ali, no dia 27 de março de 1995, a Igreja funcionava em uma casa alugada. No dia de minha posse, foi lançada a pedra fundamental do novo templo, próprio, em terreno doado pelo irmão Vice-presidente, Diácono João Batista do Nascimento, um dos grandes baluartes da Obra, hoje já pronta, com inauguração possivelmente em junho próximo, mês do aniversário da Igreja. O irmão João realizou pessoalmente serviços penosos, perigosos e colocou em risco a própria vida para que a construção não sofresse paralisações. Entreguei-lhe um Diploma meritório, ressaltando tal fato e, assim, homenageando toda a Membresia.

O momento de Ações de Graças foi dirigido pelo Seminarista Rogério Peres, da PIB de Alcântara, que é o Auxiliar Ministerial, atuando em minhas ausências. O sermão ocasional foi proferido pelo Pastor José Jorge Vieira do Prado, Secretário Geral da Associação Batista Paraibana e agora na presidência da Igreja Batista Jardim Sumaré, em S. João de Meriti. O Pastor Jorge entregou-nos O DIPLOMA DE RECONHECIMENTO E MÉRITO expedido pela Igreja, chamados ao púlpito os pastores presentes (Jorge Botelho, Marlene e Rafael), para externarem com orações de gratidão a Deus.

Compareceram irmãos de várias Igrejas além dos meus familiares, inclusive minha mãe, que já conta mais de 80 anos, membros da Igreja, amigos e colaboradores.

Ao agradecer à Igreja e a todos os presentes, enfatizei que minha parcela de participações é uma das menores e tudo que fiz até aqui foi porque Deus permitiu e nada passou de minha obrigação como servo do Senhor Jesus.

= TEN YEARS OF BLESSING =

On March 19 was held at the Second Baptist Church of Carmo the Cult of thanksgiving, memorial of my ten years of leadership in that church. It's ten years of struggles, but to many victories, all with the valuable assistance of the brothers. It should be noted that when the Ministry took there on March 27, 1995, the church functioned in a rented house. On the day of my possession, was released the cornerstone of the new temple, itself, on land donated by Brother Deputy, Deacon Jo’ao Batista do Nascimento, one of the great bulwarks of work, now ready, with possibly opening in June next, month of the anniversary of the church. Brother John held services personally painful, dangerous and endangered their lives to the building suffered no downtime. Delivered him a diploma worth, pointing out this fact and thereby honoring the entire Membership.

The moment of shares of Thanks was sent by seminarist Rogério Peres, of the First Baptist of Alcantara, who is the Assistant Ministers, acting in my absence. The occasional sermon was delivered by Pastor Jose Jorge Vieira do Prado, Secretary General Association of Baptist Paraibana and now president of the Baptist Church Garden Sumaré in Sao Joao de Meriti. Pastor Jorge gave us the diploma of recognition and merit issued by the Church, called to the pulpit pastors present (Jorge Botelho, Marlene and Rafael), to externalize with prayers of gratitude to God.

Brothers attended several churches in addition to my family, including my mother, already has more than 80 years, church members, friends and colleagues.

To thank the church and all those present, emphasized that my parcel of shares is one of the minors and did everything that was up here Allah and nothing has happened to my obligation as a servant of the Lord Jesus.
